I think the difficulty is almost unique to every test taker. I love economics and am in my 4 tax season, so i thought BEC was not too bad and so far studying for REG seems to be easier than studying for FAR…
FAR - 1/20/2011 91 NTS - 444 LA
BEC - 2/26/2011 86 NTS - 444 LA
REG - 4/21/2011 ?? NTS - 444 LA
AUD - 5/24/2011 98 NTS - 444 LA
I know I'm going to throw up….just found out I got a 66 on FAR which means retaking it and losing AUD as there's no way I can finish studying for my 5th retake of BEC on Apr 30 and get FAR restudied by May 31 (and pass this time). The score report is next to useless in trying to decipher areas to restudy so I end up having to restudy all. God I truly hate this. I'm really really considering going back to project management. No crappy ass test, no agonizing wait for the scores but I'll sure miss audits. Damn it all to hell!
@dhuffman, that totally sucks, BUT I think you can so pull off a retake of FAR and BEC in the time frame you listed and not lose any parts. Seriously, you got this and a month of intense studying for each part should be enough time for you especially since you have already taken them before. I have faith in you!!! You WILL do it!!
@dhuffman, can you take FAR on 4/30 and then BEC on 5/31 or does your NTS for BEC expire on 4/30? I would say if you can switch those two test dates and start studying for FAR tomorrow which will give you a little over a month, you will for sure pass FAR. It's fresh in your mind too which is def an advantage. Then, study BEC for a month and you are already soooo close to a passing score for BEC that I have no doubt you will pass it this next go around.
Somebody earlier (can't remember who) said they felt like AUD got harder as each testlet progressed. That's actually a good thing. According to the scoring method, they start you off with a “medium” testlet. If you do well, you are given a “difficult” testlet on number 2. If you don't do well, you are given a “medium”. Same thing for the 3rd testlet. Do good, get a “difficult”. Do bad, get a “medium”. So, if it seemed progressively difficult, you probably did well. On the other hand, if it seemed easy, you either know it like the back of your hand, or you didn't do too well. If that's the case, I must have done awesome, because, it just seemed uphill!!! Ha ha!
AUD - 81
