    Does anybody notice the irony (or hypocrisy) that the one exam section that had the most amount of changes and that probably needed the most amount of time to tweak and figure out how to grade them was released first (FAR, a section that I didn't take this window). While REG (which I am eagerly awaiting) has had very minimal changes, and hasn't been released yet? And, the other section that I've taken, BEC, I've been hearing might be the last one of all of them to be released.

    @G, Congrats and thanks for the encouragement!

    @cpaisme, are you talking about FAR taken in 2011 or an exam taken in 2010? Prior to 2011, people had a VERY good chance of passing the exam even if they did well on the MCQ but bombed the sims, but now that the MCQ are worth only about 55% and sims are worth 45%, it seems like you have to do decent on both to even have a chance at a passing score.

    *sigh* I'm depressed now.

    I had to look up whether they were releasing all at once and this is what I found:

    CBT-e will enable CPA candidates to receive their scores faster and more frequently. However, there are some timeline adjustments of which boards of accountancy and CPA candidates must be aware. As you may know, currently, scores are released in two waves per scoring window. During the initial launch of CBT-e we will require a period of heightened quality control. Therefore, during the first three quarters of 2011, all candidate scores will be released following the close of the testing window.

    Once this quality control cycle is complete, CPA candidates can look forward to an accelerated scoring timeline. Details will be announced on the CPA Examination website (www.aicpa.org/cpa-exam) in the Psychometrics and Scoring section.

    Not sure the faster and more frequently was meant during the first 3 testing windows because of quality control measures – blah, blah, blah…..

    @bammers2 – FAR 2011! Just got my score this morning, and I got “weaker” on the sims but still pulled off a 76! Their scoring process is so batty, anything's possible! Here's hoping you get good news too!

    Wait- are they now giving out score reports for passing scores?? In PA we only ever got them if we failed, and I haven't gotten back a 2011 score yet to compare.

    NASBA needs bandwidth – Some states give you a score report regardless of pass or fail. Louisiana is one of the ones who only gives you a report if you fail.

    @alohnes- Thanks. I think the wording of “all the score will be released at once” is something that has been interpreted and said. This is just frustrating that they have only released one exam. I have been sick to my stomach since yesterday. I hate the suspense! And what I really hate is the inconsistency. If there was a set pattern with score releases, it would be much easier to wait.

    BEC- 73, 73, 80
    REG- 74, 83
    FAR- 50(didn't study), 76 (<--How the heck did that happen?)
    AUD- 71, 71, 79!!!!!

    At this point, we can only see a score/advistory score right. I see some of you posted how you found out that you were weaker on SIMs compared to other passing candidates, and stronger on MQ compared to other passing candidates. How did you find that out online?
