hahaha, I see that we already have the mood on. Everyone's emotions are sky high and the adrenaline is fueling our desperation. CPA mardi gras has begun!!! I don't know, but I feel so much better now after venting a lil bit to NASBA. Good luck to all!

    Thank you CurseAUD.

I guess what people are saying is true: The more difficult questions you get, the better chance you have at passing.

I thought I was lucky when I got the “easy” BEC mcqs and dumbfounded when I received the score. 🙁

My AUD mcqs were easy (and the sims weren't too hard but very long and the instructions weren't clearly written), so I'm not too optimistic right now.

BTW, I totally agree with the candidates demanding NASBA/AICPA to consider giving us (those being treated like guinea pigs) a break during this major transitional/trial period!!!

I do not understand why AICPA has to religiously adhere to the same passing rate at each testing window by “curving” so much no matter how many (qualified) people took the exam at once. They should let all those who scored the passing grade (without being unfairly “curved”) pass, period!!

Best of luck to you all.

Who is that sinister idiot representing NASBA on the facebook page? I think he/she is a sadist. Anytime anyone makes any hopeful remarks, he/she shoots it down and continues making his/her coy, vague statements. If i wasn't so mad, I would find it amusing…

This has probably been mentioned before, but I wish something would be done to expedite the time lag between the initial score release by the AICPA and the receipt of scores via mail for those candidates who do not live in NASBA states (like NC, where I'm from). I think it would make more sense to do so now more than ever.

Naturally, scores will be released the same day my husband finds out where he matches for residency…Because that day wasn't going to be stressful enough….fml

Not that it really gives ANY additional information, but here's an email I sent to NASBA this AM followed by their response.

    MY EMAIL:

I've heard lots of different answers as to when the exam scores will be

released for the Jan/Feb 2011 testing window and also am following your FB

and twitter posts. I was hoping to get a bit more information on exactly

when the scores might be released. Recent posts have emphasized that the

scores will come out after the CLOSE of the window, but I find this

confusing since I thought the close of the window was Feb 28. Is this not

accurate? Does CLOSE of the window refer to the end of the blackout month?

    RESPONSE:

All scores for the Jan/Feb 2011 testing window will be released at the same time, approximately mid-March. We do not have a firm date on this yet, however, so it could be later. There will not be an early score release or wave 1 release. You may check Facebook or Twitter for updates on the release of scores for the Jan/Feb 2011 testing window. The release date will probably not be decided until after March 16th.

I realize this doesn't help much, and assumed I'd get a response similar to this when I sent the email, but like the FB posters felt that I HAD TO DO SOMETHING!! And now that I have more non-information, I thought I should share it with all of you lovely CPA candidates!

    REG-1/25/11 82!

It sure would be nice to have our scores by Friday. I highly doubt that I passed REG, but if I did fail, I just want confirmation already so I can move forward with restudying for it. Ugh. My anxiety level is through the roof right now!

    AUD - 95, BEC - 85
    REG - 85, Rawrrrrrr FAR - 88
