Is it likely to get hired by Big 4 when you are nearly CPA certified and have a graduate degree? From what I have gathered, they like to hire college students that can work for less pay. So far, my experience has been accounting for a smaller company.

    BEC: 10/25/10 83 AUD:11/30/10. 84
    FAR: 1/7/11 82 REG: 2/25/11 ???

@Shlentine: I started working for a smaller CPA firm with plans of becoming partner one day. I would rather work on my own terms instead of someone telling me what to do all my career.

@Shlentine: As far as I understand, right now is much harder. For example, I know that the IRS was much more desperate than ever – right before the recession. They were recruiting heavily on campuses, where they had never puit alot of effort in. Now, the competition is so thick that they are mainly taking Masters and CPA's. Two positive notes though.

    1. You do have a graduate degree (Master's ?) and almost CPA.

    2. As long as no catastrophic event throws the economy off, hiring is picking up.

    Good luck.

    AUD - 81

If REG doesn't come out today, I will go insane. Please Nasba, you don't want a future CPA to be crazy.
