The other thread was freaking out from so many posts I guess…(4,799 is max?) let’s try a new one.

@TooBigToFail I used Gleims online study questions ($55) to pass FAR, and also used them on AUD. I know Becker works, but it was out of my price range at the time I started.

Long time lurker and first time poster. I have three things to say:

    1. I am almost positive they go by NTS and not state. The reason some states are slower than others is because they are non NASBA/CPAES. I am 437 and lower NTS numbers are getting their scores, higher ones are not. Also, all states scores pages through NASBA look the same. I'm guessing you could be registered in one state and check through another state, but I cannot verify because I only have info for one section. Can someone else verify? If I get scores soon, I will and let you know.

    2. The NINJAs are horrendous. How can an insider f%^* up so much?

    3. BSBOSS is a douchebag.

YEA!!!! 82 for me in TN (432)! I'm done- Praise the Lord! Imagine a 37 year old woman doing a toetouch in her living room (in my mind anyway) 🙂 Congrats to all that passed!

@acowntint – I am TN, too, so if I get my scores soon, my last post may be invalid.

Are the NTS set up like SSNs, where both origination time/date and location indicate the first 3 numbers?

Still no scores. Has anyone with a NTS between 432 and 437 not from TN received scores within the past 10 minutes?

@Luco you are much smarter than me, and you were able to pass using the less expensive methods. I could never have passed FAR and AUD without spending my nights with Tim Gearty and Peter Olinto. I wish I could describe the incredible feeling of euphoria I experienced when I saw that first passing score on my first section, FAR. It was literally the best physical sensation I've ever had. It felt like my entire future had opened up before me. And that was when I told myself all of this was worthwhile and I would keep plugging along to conquer each section. I don't even have an accounting degree (my BA and MA are liberal arts). Looking back I would even have paid Becker double what I paid for that feeling. There can't be any drug like that first sensation of passing the CPA exam. I know it will feel great when I finish this fourth one, but nothing is like that first time, that first passing score for FAR.

@Island Seoul is one of the largest cities in the entire world! It is one of the top two or three financial centers in the world too. There are major multinational corporations there and global banks. Quite literally Seoul is one of the very best places for a CPA to find incredible opportunities, especially audit (gotta audit all those publicly traded companies HQ'd there!). What in heck's name does Okinawa offer other than U.S. military bases?? You gotta get out of Okinawa and into the private sector.

Done with FAR, AUD, REG, BEC. Today, March 29, I will remember you forever!!
    Delaware candidate.
Going to convert Peter Olinto to my team. 😀

@toobig That's kinda the thing… the hubby's a Marine so we are here at least another year and a half! Trust me, this is the WORST place to get a job. When I started at my job now, their initial salary offer was less than what I made in my college internship my senior year of college (which was over 5 years before and in OK which is not a high paying place to start with!). True story. BUT, I am trying not to think of it like that… this is a learning experience and it will look good on my resume. I just have to keep repeating that over and over. haha

    A- 74, 80!
    B- 83
    F- 85
    R- 86!!

    @TOBIG

Believe me when I say I am certainly not smarter than you! I found that lectures and reading didn't work for me, questions were the only way I learned.

That and constant badgering from my new bride!
