I just was informed by my CPA exam coordinator that I failed BEC, but she cannot give me my score. This whole CPA exam process sucks so bad!!!!!!! FML!!

Hi all!

I've been meaning to check in all week on the people who were waiting for BEC and the balance of the REG scores, but I've been tied up in a lame conference all day every day at work. Boo. I'm so sorry to those who didn't get that 75 =( and congratulations to all who did!

It appears there are scores still missing though… is that true?? Is it March 31 and some people haven't gotten scores???

@ms500, I am so impressed you stuck with this process after so many 74s. I mean, my 72 felt like a part of me died when I saw it. It amazes me to see the perseverance of people on this forum; it makes me want to try harder.

@spectrum another thing that bothers me about this whole lack of communications and transparency is that the powers-that be-need to advise us when they want to extend the window due to weather or whatever. Good grief, Charlie Brown! We all have an e-mail address. How hard can it be to send out an e-mail communicating the testing window has been extended 6 days?

We could “plan accordingly” if we knew the plan.

@ErinBooke We are going to pass this exam, sooner or later it's going to happen. I just paid $527.50 for exam fees, oouuch!

@MQcpasoon She cannot give me my score but she said “you failed BEC”! She apologized for the whole process; I did thank her for being honest with me. So tomorrow, I will start studying for BEC so I can take it before April 15.

@Curse AUD – You're totally correct! No BEC scores have been released for NE, PR or MN yet! We're going CRAZY over here!

The gal I talked to hinted that I would be happy with my results (wouldn't tell me anything further) but despite kind of knowing via the loophole and whatnot, I just am not going to fully believe it until I see that score online.

you can do it, in Aug 10, I scored 74 in FAR and lost credit for BEC and I passed again BEC and now in FAR in Feb 11, so I was in the same boat like you, so just keep poisitve attitude and attack again to this moster exam, you can do it

Totally OUTRAGEOUS! That's absolutely unacceptable. I hope that the next window is better. You'd think they worked out their scaling problems and whatever the hell else they were working on. I absolutely can't believe this.

Honestly, I think part of what these tests do is weed out the people who don't really want it enough. Some people just don't put in time studying, and they get weeded out quickly. Others study hard but get stuck in a few spots, but really want it, so the persevere and stick it out and they get it. Some people start out strong and lose steam halfway through and decide they don't need it.

Just remember that the hard work WILL pay off eventually for those who are willing to stick it out. And it's truly the luck of the draw on this stuff! You could get one of those nightmarish tests where you have 30 questions on some obscure topic, or you could magically get all the “right” questions and get an amazing score.

If you keep working hard and keep studying, eventually the odds will play out and you WILL PASS!

I really have a great deal of respect for everyone on this site. People work so hard, and get so emotionally invested. This really is a life-changing test, and kudos to all of you out there in the trenches!
