I feel like I'm gambling or playing the lottery…come on 444, come on number 444, so close…

I knew it yet this stings more than any other though. I went from being almost done to dropping back to halfway.

    Over and out.

@CPAcandidate, you are right, a lot of this is about luck. I swear if it weren't for luck, God and an a small amount of effort on my part, there's NO way I would have passed.

Does anyone else agree that the last 3 or so days before the exam is when you get your best studying in? I always try to take my exam on a Monday so that I can study non-stop Sat and Sun. I don't believe in ‘relax the night/day before the exam and don't study'..psssh, I need all the studying time I can get. I have always been pretty good about closing the books and watching mindless TV when I know I'm not absorbing any of the material I'm reading…even if I feel kinda guilty doing so. Thoughts?

Sorry Charlie'sGoddess – losing a section has to be the pits. You're know you're gonna' nail this thing down, we're all behind you… The AICPA is making me angry, it one thing if they want to pick on me and torture me…but leave all the good peeps of Another71 the h&ll alone dammmmmmit!

I'm quietly laying low lurking but I haven't left. I'm stickin' in here until I hear how everyone does.

    Oh no! Allyson!!!!!!!! (Charlie)

I was EXACTLY where you are in 2008. I scored my 2nd 74 on REG and lost FAR.

One more “point” and I would have been a CPA. Instead – I was back to 2 sections passed.

I wanted to throw my laptop through the wall.

Instead, I got pissed and took my anger out on the AICPA and destroyed REG with a 92 and re-passed FAR on my next 2 tries. This will be you!!!

The worst part about this ordeal is telling your kids that you didn't pass and that you will be studying more for this stupid exam. I had 3 kids at the time…I know how it goes.

Take some time off from the exam (1-2 weeks) and then jump back in there.

Dammit! I was really pulling for you.

    You WILL overcome this setback.

I think instead of switching materials the material just needs to be mastered – that is unless the materials do not coinside with your learning style.

I received 2 74's and I'm sticking with Becker – it IS going to get me through.

I do not post very often, but Charlie this one is for you. You know what to do…study hard and knock out both of them in the next window. Start with BEC while it is still fresh. I have confidence in you as well as everyone else on this board. Success is your only option, failure is not.

You are an inspiration to all of us, Keep your head up. You will succeed!

I'll have a glass or two more of Merlot for you. πŸ™ I wish we lived closer too – Door county is close by me and they have FANTASTIC wineries!!! Just what a girl needs for a pick-me-up.

I really hope you don't give up Allyson! You and I ARE going to do this. We can beat this stupid exam and show those examiners what is up!! You had more support than probably anyone else on here – trust me you can get through this!
