What really has bugged me about all this extra waiting is that I have a pretty good feeling that I failed. I was pretty sick the day of the test and probably went through about a box of kleenex during it lol. That wasted alot of time and was slightly distracting! I hate WAITING AND WAITING and all the anticipation just to find out I failed. I really do not want to study for BEC a 3rd time…it is the WORST material!

PA State Coordinator just wrote back to my email as follows:

    ME:

Is it really a possibilty that BEC will not be released until after next window (i.e. June). I took BEC Jan 8 and still do not have my score. NTS #######, Any information you can provide would be helpful!

    COORDINATOR:

Not that I have heard. We should have it this week.

@Kayla19 – don't count yourself out. I took AUD sick and had 4 hours of sleep (I am a full 8 hours or I can't function kinda girl). I just wanted to cry and go home and sleep but I focused and did what I could and ended up with a 78. You JUST never know in this crazy game we call CPA testing!

    @hurry-up…

True statement, you never know. From my own experiences and reading on here it, scores usually turn out opposite of how you feel you did!

I thought I rocked AUD the first time, got a 73. Thought I bombed REG the first time and AUD the 2nd time and passed both. The only one I was right about was the first attempt at BEC, but I really did not put in the effort that I had for the other 2 sections so I know why I didn't pass.

At this point it would just be nice to know anything!

@keeptrying – sorry to hear about your 74, I know nothing I say will help you feel too much better but keep your head up. A 74 is a tough break but try to use it as motivation!! You are tough- studying for this stuff is ridiculously tough anyways but especially when you are working full-time, a mother, and doing so much more! You are our role model so keep at it =)

@becks – did you use Becker for BEC? I am assuming with your name, but just curious. BEC rocked my world, I felt Becker did a horrible job preparing me (and I DID put forth the time and effort.)

    REG - 81 (2/2)
    BEC - 87 (2/28)
    FAR - 76 (4/18)
    AUD - 75 (5/20)

lol actualy my name is Becky but everyone calls me Becks – nothing to do with Becker.

Yes, I am using Becker. People have passed that part using Becker though – I know it can be done. My plan is to go back in and re-take the live class if I find out another failing score. I believe that any review book will work – but they work for different people. Becker is the only book that I have found that makes sense to me. However, I have not found a Yaeger book to look at and I will not purchase it until I can take a peek inside.

I started with Gleim and that was just a mess for me.

@thefacta – I used Becker for BEC and I felt pretty good about it. Maybe it is because alot of the material seemed similar to my MBA classes as far as the ecnomics and finance material. I thought that my first testlet was extremely easy (small chance I got them all right), the second got a little harder, and the third was noticeably harder. Of course I probably just jynxed myself into a failing score.. What was your thoughts on the exam?

    Good morning All!

So I notice that most people on here use Becker. I have never even looked at a Becker book. Do you think it is that much better than the other systems? I used only the Gleim books and test banks for BEC and REG my first go around. Failed them both by a small amount. After that I bought Yaeger (because Jeff had a coupon code and I didn't want to pay for Becker) and just used it to study for BEC and REG again. Passed REG, but this wait for BEC is killing me! If I failed BEC again, I'm wondering if I should try something else or just restudy with Yaeger. Any thoughts?

    BEC- 73, 73, 80
    REG- 74, 83
FAR- 50(didn't study), 76 (<--How the heck did that happen?)
    AUD- 71, 71, 79!!!!!
    Finished!!

@Becks/PlsPray – I agree, Becker should work so I will stick it out unless I bombed it. I felt fantastic about the first testlet but the next two testlets were extremely tough. Lots of questions which I was not prepared for, even conceptual questions. Perhaps it was just me, I don't intend to lay the blame on Becker. Just irritating feeling prepared and ready to hit the test and leaving the testing center a little stunned.

    REG - 81 (2/2)
    BEC - 87 (2/28)
    FAR - 76 (4/18)

@kristen1479 – I've seen it said many times on here that it is not necessarily that one system is “better” than the others but you have to find the one that matches your learning style to give you the best chance.

And don't forget to use the questions at cpareviewforfree.com. You can't beat free questions!!
