TowsonCPAParticipantI have REG Friday!!! I can not study when all I want to do is know my darn BEC score…come on NASBA and AICPA a score release in the black out month is not the end of the world….releasing scores on the very last day of the month so that some people will be taking more exams without even knowing there performance on the last exam they took is unfair and ridiculous!!!
Audit - 11/23/10 - 90
Financial - 1/4/11 - 88
Business - 2/28/11 - 86
Regulation - 4/1/11 - Last one!March 29, 2011 at 2:00 pm #279713
LauraParticipant@Becks what did you use to raise your AUD score from a 74 to a 91? Or was that just an increase based on effort alone?
REG-80, 77, 77
BEC-67, 68, 71, 67, 71, 74, 71, 74, 72, 77
FAR- 72, 65,67, 53, 75 (truth be known the 53 was with 4 hours of studying)
AUD-58, 62, 72, 74, 74, 75
took 5 years but I'm DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!March 29, 2011 at 2:01 pm #279714

lynn2007Participant@bendercpa I never saw that before…thanks for sharing. I have now lost all hope in getting my scores before the end of the week. They will probably release BEC scores next testing window at this rate. UGH! How on earth am I supposed to concentrate on audit at this rate. SUCKS

lynn2007Participant@wannabetxacctnt I completely agree! This is beyond unfair!!!! Luckily my 18 month window is not about to expire but I can about imagine there are plenty of people waiting on this score and they are close to the expiration. I purposely made room in my study schedule to be able to retake BEC (if i fail) before my auditing test which is in late April. Now the prometric site is definitely going to be full and my plan is down the drain. I really don't think AICPA thinks about the consequences of this….

wannabetxacctntParticipantIf they were able to grade essays for every section except BEC in previous windows and have the scores out in a timely manner, then why the heck can't they grade essays in ONE section and just send out the frikking score?!!! My worst fears seem to be confirmed…it doesn't look like BEC will come out this month. Might have to wait till June:(

I am thoroughly disgusted by the entire process. I took BEC on January 10th and I know I will not be receiving my score ANYTIME soon. The lack of transparency of any kind in terms of a set date, heck even a set month we will get our scores is pathetic.

32CPAParticipant@Carolina blues… I feel ya. it's hard reading people talk about waiting an extra day or two (I understand completely though) but us in nc have to wait AT LEAST a week. this is my last and I took it Jan 8… so it's been a while.
I wish you patience blues

I used Becker for Audit. I attened a live Becker review course and the instructor indicated that questions in AUD are ambiguous vague and poorly worded and therefore the more you work questions the better you get at them. When I retook AUD, all I did was rework questions. I didn't rewatch lectures, it was purely flashcards and questions. However, keep in mind that I re-took it about a month and a half after I got my 74 so a lot of the information was still fresh in my head.
I also took myself to the Cheesecake factory after I took the exam. π

wannabetxacctntParticipantThis is the most unprofessional organization, they never tell you what to expect, purposely withhold and give you wrong information, I'm seriously beginning to wonder if the CPA certification is worth this much heartache, anxiety and stress:( I start work this summer at PwC and was hoping to be done with this nightmare before that…but the way it looks right now, it doesn't appear that I will EVER know.

herbert7890Participantthank you for your support, canson16 and Allyson. I can't find a way to leave this forums, I want to see BEC released already, so everybody can relax and get this over with. I'm still in shock and it hasn't sync in yet. I wish the best for all of you waiting, as I know how frustrating can be when the AICPA and NASBA make us wait longer accepted for a simple score release process. Count on me for staying on this site for quite a while, it's part of my life now, LOL.

AnonymousInactiveSO, those of us waiting on BEC scores to finally be finished with this dammm exam should be studying the BEC for months after taking the test just in case we don't pass?
How can we be expected to even get a test date at Prometric with scores arriving during the next window?? The dates will all be taken by the other sections.
I've heard tell of lawsuits coming down the pipeline… we may be hearing about this 2011 test change for decades.
