@rstanton, consider yourself lucky for just now having your first CPA exam related dream. I have had numerous that I could definitely do without. A few days ago I dreamed of a 56 on BEC. Does anyone else have dreams about the actual material prior to taking an exam? I have had countless dreams about the actual material and it really cramps my sleeping.

@almost done in TX, Congrats!!! You deserve a huge celebration w/your fam! Although I was born/raised in TX, I’m soooo glad to be taking this exam in CO (a “quick” state), I can’t believe they have made ya’ll wait this long for REG!! Crazy stuff!

@MM23, I’m sorry! I wish I could give you some advice, but I too felt like the AUD sims destroyed me. Did you get stronger in MCQs or comparable?

I don't think OASIS and NASBA are the same thing. I am in NY and do everything through the NASBA website.

@Coaster, I agree that once you pass your first section you should def try to take at least 2 exams per window to beat the 18 month deadline. I’m so determined to NOT take FAR over again, that I WILL be done w/all exams before Feb 2012 when FAR (my 1st section) will expire.

@Iowa, I have used Yaeger for each section. I would say go to google books online and check out the Wiley text and skim through it. If you like the layout and think they present the info better, then maybe you should give Yaeger a shot. FYI, Yaeger uses the Wiley text. My biggest piece of advice is to listen to the instructors in Yaeger, when they say do this or that MCQ, DO IT! The AUD instructor said a few times to practice as many MCQs as possible and I didn’t which is why I failed the first time around, so this time around I listened to the instructor and did a ton more MCQs and passed w/an 84.

@Crazy1, that’s a total bummer but at least you are sooooo freaking close! Don’t give up!!!

They actually e-mailed me my score for AUD; I still don't know what my score is for REG, I just know I passed bc my AUD sheet said CREDIT next to it. I got the email around 11:15 this morning.

I'm not trying to be a negative nancy or anything, but I'm pretty sure I won't be receiving a passing score on BEC. My question to ya'll is, what is the best way to study the IT section? Is it best to make 100+ flashcards on all the different IT terms/vocab? Or is it best to just re-read that module over and over and do the MCQ over and over again?

Just when I was trying to avoid looking at my score until I complete the Audit exam, I read that some folks are getting scores via email. Geesh. This process is giving me an ulcer.

@bammers2………I don't think there is any right way to study the IT section. I thought I had it nailed down and got stumped on at least 3 IT questions on the exam (I used the answering mcq's until I could recite them method). The fact they even test us on it is ludacris. If I have to retake this exam I'm going to focus more on the theory behind the material more than the application.

@plspray, I wasn't sure about 20 of them which is not a good sign. I went home and looked up about 15 questions (that I could remember) and saw that I missed 8 of them and then I couldn't even find the other 7 in the material. What made me the most mad at myself is that there were about 4 questions that I went back and changed the answer from the correct answer to the WRONG answer grrrrrr. Another question, on the written communications, do ya'll sign the memo ‘sincerely, cpa candidate' or anything to that effect?
