Out of sheer boredom….the test sections first letters spell out BARF. Thanks. I feel better sharing that with the world.

    B 5/16 - 68
    A 68, 74, 5/28
    R 60
    F 4/18 - 61

LOL, You Can Do It! I just noticed the same thing a few days ago. I had always thought of it as FARB since that's the order most people take the sections. πŸ˜€

My week-end of total uselessness has continued… going to force myself to take a walk and leave the computer for at least five or six hours now. Haven't been able to sleep properly for days.

Done with FAR, AUD, REG, BEC. Today, March 29, I will remember you forever!!
    Delaware candidate.
Going to convert Peter Olinto to my team. πŸ˜€

I am hoping they release BEC tomorrow. If so, that will mean I will probably receive my score Wednesday. πŸ™

    @ happy75 and bammers…

I totally understand what you are both saying…and yes, I have invested alot of time in FAR already, so maybe I should just continue through with it? As far as comfortability…I probably still feel a bit better about AUD, but I am constantly debating back and forth what I should do. The only reason I am giving myself so much time for FAR is b/c I am extremely scared of the thing! lol Journal entries were my weakest point in college. Since I have yet to pass a section, my 18 month clock hasn't started ticking. I am so new to this as AUD was my very first exam, that I am still so unsure about what way to go. Perhaps I just need to get un-afraid of FAR and bump it up to April and see if I can get through my AUD stuff again by end of May. As far as my lectures, I'm pretty sure I'm more than half way through them. I'm going to take serious consideration of what you told me bammers. Thank you for all the advice, I soooo appreciate it! =)

    AUD(2/16/11) 51,64, retake Oct.
    FAR(8/5/11)

@happy, thanks! Today I'm not coughing as much but my throat is still a lil' sore. I am sooooo very glad I wasn't sick like this while taking any of the exams or I would have probably also busted out w/shingles due to stress.

@Island, congrats!!! I predict you will be doing the happy dance for the next several days and as you should πŸ™‚

@Wheres, yeah it's tough failing your first exam and it really does a number on your confidence about the exam. I think that fear is telling you to go back and try AUD first because that's the material you are most comfortable with, but I think the rational side of you knows that FAR would probably be your best route. Go to page 5 & 6 of the Wiley text for AUD 2011, and pay attention to #2 and #6. Hopefully you have the Wiley text. You are going to feel like you have a good grasp on the material one day and feel like you don't know a dang thing the next…that will mess w/your confidence in yourself to pass this thing, but we ALL experience this feeling multiple days if not every day that we study for these exams. As for FAR, I can honestly tell you that I learned more about Financial Accounting and Reporting (including how to do J/Es) while studying for the exam than I did in college (accounting was my major) so don't let that affect your self-confidence either. My university sent out an evaluation of our accounting program back in the fall and I told them that they should start teaching stuff out of the Wiley books and follow the CSO for the CPA exam as it would be the most beneficial to the students. Anyway, you got this! And I think if you bombed AUD as bad as you said, I think it's def in your best interest to move on to the next section so that you can then go back to AUD w/a fresh set of eyes. Whichever you decide, have confidence and take the attitude of ‘fake it until you make it' in an effort to psyche that inner voice saying ‘you can't' into thinking I can.

One last thing, everyone is expected to fail their first exam…I even told myself to think of the exam as a ‘practice' in an effort to calm my nerves and once I sat down all nerves were gone and I simply thought of it as a practice exam, no pressure. After taking and surviving your first exam, you know what to expect at the testing center, the exam format etc. and so next time won't be so nervewracking hopefully. I must admit that the most nervous or the only time I've been nervous when taking any of these exams was BEC because that was my first exam to take after learning I failed AUD. Talk about a confidence crusher. Be aware of that and don't let it cripple you like it kinda did me in the first 10 min. of the BEC exam.

Congrats to everyone else who is receiving passing REG and AUD scores today!!! Woohoo!!

Dear REG — Thank you for ruining my weekend and crapping on my plans for the next two-three months. How is it that I could do worse when I studied more and felt more prepared. That's something that boggles my mind. My misery this busy season has just gone into hyper speed. I wish I were back at the BIG 4 — NO LIE!
