Just got my scores back for Audit and BEC and didn't do well. It was my second time taking Audit and I got a 37 the first time around and a 40 this time. I got a 69 on BEC. I'm using becker but sometimes feel like it is hard to follow along and retain information with the video/audio lectures cause they skip over quite a bit of info. Anyone else feeling this way and have any advice on how to move forward or switch up study strategies?

@mikehoncho How many times are you cycling through the material and how many weeks/day does it take you to go through the entire review section each time? I use Becker as well. My strategy (and it may not work for you) is to cycle through all MCQs and sims once. Then cycle through all of the MCQs again (ignoring the sims) in no more than two weeks and right before my exam. For REG, that meant covering four chapters one week then four chapters the week of my exam with the day before the exam designated as a rest day. I've found that to be an efficient use of my time based on my personality and have seen an improved score with each exam. You should find a plan that works for your learning style, create a timeline to cover each and every topic, and commit to it. Then repeat it for each section–one module at a time with the aim of mastery. I hope this helps.

@mikehoncho, for Audit I strongly recommend the Ninja MCQs. I started with Becker, but I found that multiple repetitions of the Ninja MCQs helped me absorb the tiny details and understand the shades of meaning that make one answer correct and another wrong. (With Becker, it's easy to end up memorizing the MCQs because there aren't many.) The last weekend before my exam I did endless Ninja MCQs. I think by Saturday afternoon i started to “get it,” and on Sunday I was confident.

Failed AUD with a 70. Looked at my score review thing and in 3 of the 4 content areas, I’m listed as “stronger compared to passing candidates” while in just 1 section I’m categorized as “weaker.” I’m also listed as “stronger” in multiple choice and “weaker” in SIMs. 0 “comparables.”

I don’t know whether to laugh or cry lol. Has anyone else received feedback like this?!

@sam1121 The exact same thing happened to me, twice. I’m convinced the AICPA will not let you pass audit until you’re at least “comparable” on the TBS. I eventually got an 80 after doing nothing but MCQ and (you guessed it) TBS for a month straight. Good news is you already know the material, you just need to execute and practice areas that are a bit more subjective. Hang tough!

Was planning on retaking BEC, but I found out I passed with an 85!! Those MCQs are hard!
