Remember the girl who wrote that article about the CPA candidates whining too much about the score release in the last window?

Always humorous when people who have never taken the exam critique those that have.

i have a question for those of you who are awaiting results and have no tests scheduled for next window…

I have passed FAR and REG and I just took for the second time each, AUD and BEC this past window. my question is this, are there any of you who would try and study right now either BEC or AUD? i walked out of both tests feeling pretty bad… i can tend to be pretty negative sometimes though. I just think that it would be stupid not to be studying for an entire month while i wait to see if passed 1 or both of these sections. problem is, i have no idea what i should be studying. anybody else in a similar situation and what are you doing with your time that would normally be used for studying? thanks

    FAR - 88
    REG - 88
    AUD - 69, 79
    BEC - 71, 74, 82

I did this with AUD in the last window. I took it in January, did not feel to good, and never really quit studying for when I took it in May. I did cut way back until I was sure but I made it a point to answer at least 25-50 mcq a few days a week to stay in the loop. It was tax season and hard to find any more time. This time I am not studying at all while I wait. There is a live AUD review course scheduled for my town that starts in July, I feel much better about my last test, and the kids are out of school. I am being dad for now and will take the live review course if I need to. The break is nice.

    REG - 79
    BEC - 74, 86
    FAR - 63, 75
    AUD - 71, 71, 90

I'm not studying anything right now. I'm waiting on all 4 scores and felt OK about all of the exams immediately afterwards except REG. I didn't feel terrible, but there were several iffy questions so I felt very unsure as to how I did. Also, as time has passed, all I remember about any of the exams are the questions that I wasn't happy about so I'm starting to doubt how well I did on any of them. I thought about studying for REG and being ready to take the exam right after the first of the month but decided against it. Since all I did for 3 1/2 months was study, I fell behind on several things and decided I'd spend this month catching up on my life and trying to find a job rather than studying for a test(s) I might or might not need to take.

    FAR 4/1/11 - 89
    AUD 4/15/11 - 85
    REG 4/29/11 - 80
    BEC 5/13/11 - 85

@HighMileageDude- Let's hope so. Or hopefully, sooner!!

I’m more anxious than anyone else for my scores. I took the exam a few times last year and failed. But I only put in less than 10 hours of studying per week. I was lazy. So, the highest I was ever able to achieve was a 73. When the year 2011 came, I made a vow to change my ways of studying. My whole study method changed and I made sure I put no less than 3 hours a night of studying and no days off. The worst thing I can do is give myself a day off. I know some people recommend giving yourself a day off, but I didn’t because if I gave myself one day off, I’ll want everyday off. So, basically what I’m trying to say is that in 2011, I was a brand new person. I studied like there’s no tomorrow and made a promise that I’d pass all these exams with flying colors. Last year, it was ok that I failed because I put in minimal effort. Now, I gave up my whole life and did nothing but study study study. Now, I’m dying to see if all this hard work paid off!!

@CPAMan – I'm not sure that you're “more anxious than anyone else” for your scores! I have FAR expiring this October and my boss has made hinted that if I don't pass, there will be consequences. If I passed, I can start planning my wedding and possibly get a raise. If I failed, I start studying again and postpone life… and possibly get the can. And I just bought a house, so if I get fired, I'm really in trouble!

After typing all that out, I kind of feel like I can't breathe!!

@Jeff – Aw come on, don't be afraid. You won't have an angry mob of CPA candidates knocking on your door if your predictions are wrong… 😉

    FAR: 71, 77
    BEC: 70, 82
    AUD: 62, 78
    REG: 71, 68, 85
