    @keeptrying

    I am pissed about being so close so many times on FAR, but looking at your scores ease the pain a little bit. I cannot even understand how you felt after that 74 on BEC and AUD.

    BEC - 75(expired), 79
    REG - 63, 54, 61, 69 (Gave up for a year. Finally decided to really study) 73, 78
    FAR - 70, 71, 73, 83
    AUD - 61, 72, 72, 76

    @I3lackcell

    It was crushing!!!! I decided last quarter to post all my scores…it reminds me that i need to persevere…and i know that there are lurkers that don't post but that will see my scores as well as how many times i took the exam and will feel better about it. I was an emotional wreck last quarter after score release but after a full day of sulking on AUD and a half day on BEC I decided I needed to suck it up and try again. This test is about willpower, motivation, and perseverance…

    PS…my FAR score of 53 was after 4 hours of studying….I gave up after that test for over a year….I came back and made the perfect score…75….You can do it…FAR is a beast but I will say it's the best feeling to pass that one!!

    REG-80, 77, 77
    BEC-67, 68, 71, 67, 71, 74, 71, 74, 72, 77
    FAR- 72, 65,67, 53, 75 (truth be known the 53 was with 4 hours of studying)
    AUD-58, 62, 72, 74, 74, 75
    took 5 years but I'm DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    keeptrying, that is so true. I tell my family it's not how smart you are but how much you can withstand. It's basically a stamina test.

    FAR-11/24/2010 92
    BEC-1/27/2011 76
    AUD-4/7/2011 85
    REG-5/31/2011

    @hopingfora75 i agree this test has absolutely nothing to do with intelligence or knowledge of accounting… it has to do with ability to take a standardize test, and how much work you are willing to put into it. I was a finance major in college, work in finance, and have very little knowledge of accounting, yet i am able to pass a test that people who know far more about accounting then I do and have been working in accounting for years, struggle to pass.. It's because I have dedicated the time to figure out how to pass the test.

    I spoke with my parents and they said when someone says third week of the month, they usually mean the third FULL week. So, it looks like the third week of June is the week of the 19th. Since it's 7-10 days, then expect your scores to be released sometime between June 19-29. πŸ™

    And as i study for REG right now, I think that one is MUCH harder than FAR. At least in FAR, most of it's conceptual. With REG, it's a lot of material and most of it is pure memorization.

    CPA Man – I just took REG and Im about to take FAR. I hope you're right. FAR seems like so much material. I didnt find REG too difficult until I got to the Simulations. No way to prepare for them unfortunately. Good luck

    BEC - 86
    AUD - 94
    REG - 88
    FAR - 89

    REG is harder for me because I don't remember a thing from college. In college, we were never required to memorize the Tax rules. So, exams were always open book. But for the CPA exam, we have to memorize everything. So, studying for REG is sort of a shock to me. With FAR, at least I remember a lot of the material from college.

    I have taken a master's level class in Taxation and I found the exam, or at least the simulations, to be incredibly difficult. I am very nervous for the score. I used Becker for this exam and I studied probably on average 40 hours per week for 7 weeks and I am not sure how I did. Has anyone found any other review course to be good for REG?

    FAR-11/24/2010 92
    BEC-1/27/2011 76
    AUD-4/7/2011 85
    REG-5/31/2011

    @CPAMan – I feel your pain. I only had one tax course in college. We were allowed to bring 5 jumbo sized index “cheat” cards with us to each exam. I did not memorize any of the tax rules. REG is a PAIN!

    Since FAR was released for Q1 2011 on Tues, March 22nd, maybe FAR Q2 2011 will be released Tues, May 24th…. still a bit frustrating but not too far away πŸ˜‰

    Assuming you meant June 24th. That wouldnt be too bad. Although I am kinda hoping for a passing score on my birthday, June 29th.
