So has anyone determined when the third week of June is? Could it be the week of the 13th? (3rd week on the calendar) The week of the 20th?m (which is the third full week on the calendar) or starting the 15th, which would be the beginning of the third week, based on days? Thoughts?
So everyone has taken their exams for the 2011 April/May test window. Now we wait….and talk on this forum ha. Has anyone called and gotten a straight forward answer to when the “third week” of june is? Im hoping they mean the week of June 13th, so that we should have all scores by the 20th.
First of all it is silly that they say “within 7-10 days beginning the third week of June”…Why not just give a date range? Why must they find a way to be vague while trying to be somewhat specific?
Also, I think Jeff got a little shout out at the very bottom of that email from NASBA where it said “The AICPA does not endorse or support any other Website or forum for disseminating information about the Uniform CPA Examination.” I am sure that was a reference to the ninja tactics.
Finally, I'm really hoping I passed my last one so that I can send my letter of constructive criticism regarding the testing process as a whole.
It is silly. It's pretty obvious that we're all confused on exactly when the “third week of June” is since the first week of June begins on a Wednesday. I hope when NASBA settles on a EXACT date, I find out AFTER the scores are posted. Of course, I'd like to get my scores asap, but waiting for my scores at the exact day and time it's posted is painful because the website is very slow during that time. Not to mention that it adds way too much suspense. And now that I've actually studied A LOT harder than I did in the past, I'm more anxious than ever to get my results.
If some of you guys are just waiting, then I consider you lucky. I’m waiting for my FAR and AUD results AND studying for REG at the same time. It’s very painful. It’s so painful that I cry while I study for REG.
CPAMan – I am with you. I am waiting on FAR and AUD while studying for BEC. Depending how the scores look really sets the tone for the speed of study. Right now I have the test scheduled for the end of August in hopes of passing scores. If failing scored come in then I need to push up the BEC and schedule the re-take (or re-takes) to take advantage of the testing window. My REG expires in Jan and I need to make sure I pass them all within the 2011 windows. With some luck I have passing scores 7-10 days after the 3rd week in June – hehehe too funny. That means really we won't get scores until AFTER June or am I missing something???
CPAMan, check out my signature I took REG of April 1st, I received my BEC score the day before, yep less than 24 hours before taking REG so I was in your boat. I also got FAR less than a week prior to take REG. So I was in your boat, trying to study while waiting on two scores, not fun at all.
It's funny how we have to deal with so much uncertainty due to the lag time of the score release. I am waiting on my two final pieces (REG and FAR) and yes, it feels great. On the other hand, if I did fail I would rather know now so I could start studying if I need to. At this point I could have passed both, failed both or only passed one. With so much uncertainty I wouldn't know what to study for right now. Therefore, I am taking the “ignorance is bliss” approach and assuming I passed both. Life is much better that way!
