FYI… no need to join twitter when you can just text “follow NASBA” to 40404. The tweets will be texted to your phone. Simply text “stop” or “off” when you don't want the texts to continue any longer.

    FAR - 04/04/11 - 89
    AUD - 05/17/11 - 82
    REG - 12/21/11 - 81

I am in Texas so I get a Texas State Board of Public Accountancy to let me know my score is up and other random things. So I refreshed my email account and got an email from them. I was so pumped! Sadly, it was just a stupid newsletter. That is cruel!!

Does anyone know if the Ohio Loophole still works with this new score release format?

Anyone care to explain this whole “loophole” concept to a newb like me?

How hard could it possibly be to release scores that have been stored on a computer for the past 2 months!? Wish everyone the best! So sick of waiting…I need to become productive again 🙂

    REG - 82
    FAR - 84
    AUD - Waiting (5/26/2011)
    BEC - 7/1/2011

@Minimorty, from what I understand you try and re-register for a part of the cpa exam and see if it lets you re-register for a section you are waiting on a score from, meaning if you failed it'll let you re-register and if you passed it'll be greyed out. There are other messages candidated have gotten when trying this loophole, and it is not foolproof, but it seemed to have worked for me for my FAR section, it was greyed out and I ended up passing.

    FAR-11/24/2010 92
    BEC-1/27/2011 76
    AUD-4/7/2011 85
    REG-5/31/2011

Ohio loophole is when people log into apply for a retake of an exam that hasnt had the scores released by NASBA. If the prompt box to reregister for a new NTS is greyed out it means u passed.

Last year if you were waiting on your last score, there was a loophole that you could try to re register for the exam in Ohio. Basically, if it let you register for the exam you failed, if it wouldn't let you, then you passed. It was accurate both times for me.

id like to know more as well. my understanding is that the loophole only works if you're on your last section of the CPA exam. right after AICPA releases the scores to NASBA there is lag (<24hrs) before NASBA posts them online for us to view. During this time while you STILL dont have your score, you can try to go onto nasba website and attempt to reregister for sections. If it doesnt allow you to reregister for any other sections that could be a good sign ….or better yet, candidates have reported a “error you have already passed all sections of the examination”

they seem to call this the “ohio loophole” which I think is because you try to go through NASBA ohio when you re-register

Ahhh, thanks for the prompt responses. Seems like it would only work on your last exam, right? So if I tried and it was greyed out it could mean either (i) i passed or (ii) scores havent been recorded. Interesting nonetheless.

I didn't hear about the loophole working for anyone last window. They way the scores are released now is actually faster than the loophole was.

    BEC - 83
    REG - 86
    AUD - 75
    FAR - 86
