Anyone else have dreams of studying? I did the other night. I was going over the Control Environment, PHRASED. Ahhh…My brain won't shut off at night. 🙁
I had a dream that I still had 2 parts left to pass and was only 50% of the way done. I have my latest score report hanging up in my office at work so when I came in the next day I ran and checked it to make sure I had 3 done because when I woke up, I was starting to wonder myself. 🙂
These exams will mess with your mind – that is for sure.
Wish I had 3 done……only got REG to show for and that will expire in January. Took AUD on 4/2 (3rd attempt) and the SIMS killed me – I am not holding my breath. I am scheduled for FAR on 5/14 (3rd attempt) and then need to take BEC (1st try) while hoping and praying. I am with you guys on wanting a “normal life” as in shopping after work or just cleaning house…sounds sick huh? I have been at this for 1.5 years and if I am not done by the end of the year hubby is wanting for me to quit trying. He has been supportive so far but there comes a time for “enough is enough already” so he said. Well, perhaps 3rd time is a charm and miracles do happen for BEC.
Taking it on the 13th, took it once before had a 73, will be taking off monday and tuesday to study. Do you guys think that's good enough? i need to pass it or else i loose other parts.
I took REG April 1st to kick off the testing window. We wont have scores until the end of June hopefully I passed and everyone else on here also did well. Lets hope I dont have to start studying again come score release in June!
@ Magster, before you know it you will have 3 done. These are high stakes exams and therefore are structured harder. Unfortunately for some of us, it takes years to pass it. Your husband needs to understand how hard it is and unfortunately, he may not because he is not experiencing this first hand. If this is something you truly want, put the time into it and DO NOT give up!
My first pass around this exam I decided I'd rather clean my bathtub than study (yes, it's sick I know). But my scores showed it – I was no where near passing. Hang in there, you have plenty of people on here who will support you and try to help you through this anyway we can. That is the beauty of this site…we're all in the same boat trying to accomplish the same goal so we all know what it takes to get those three little letters behind your name. 🙂
@Becks….I couldn't have said that better….I told my 12 year old son the other day “If you have to work for something then it's worth it and it becomes more valuable to you. If it comes too easily you don't appreciate it as much.”

@spiedr89- Study it like you got a 53, not like you got a 73! That's the best advice you get get at this point.
If you are studying heavy now after work and whatnot (and have been since getting your score) you can probably pull it off by the 13th.
If you are counting on one long weekend to review and pass and aren't studying already…. I would suggest that may not be a successful approach to take, as you tend to lose a TON of information from prior study sessions during that long wait for scores. You really need to be able to review all the material and spend some time concentrating on your known weak areas for a retake. Trust me on that one!

Really? Two more months until scores come out? I am already tired of people asking when I find out my score and telling them end of June and hearing them GASP! Makes my stomache drop every time that happens cause the reality of how stinkin' LONG it is taking to get scores now hits me. =(
@ Hurry-up-n-wait – I'm also taking two tests this window (4/15 and 5/27). I'll be finding out if I'm done with REG and AUD in June. I am going to be losing my FAR credit in October, so I will need to reschedule quickly if I failed either of these for the next window. So scary… I can't imagine having to take FAR again. I need this process to be OVER WITH!

Was it just me or did anyone else notice Becker Review questions word-for-word in the actual exam. I thought this happened before and was fixed already. The questions were word for word, 3 of them.
@kandisjoy – are we crazy or what? I just figured “what the heck”. Why not take two tests in one window and pray for passing on at least one. We have to wait so dang long for scores that we can't actually plan anything anymore so let's just shoot from the hip. =)
I'm sure you'll do it! You even got one more testing window to go after this before you lose FAR so you can do that no problem! Hang in there!

I just can't wait to be done. There are only two other CPAs at my company (my boss the Controller and his boss the CFO), so hardly anyone around here actually understands how stressful this exam can be. I get so annoyed when people sit there and try to compare their random exams to the CPA exam. I can't wait till I don't even have to talk about it anymore because it will be done! Done done done!
