    Crazy omg!!! still on June 30?!?! 😐

    @kb24

    i'm trying to weigh my options if i'm gonna a buy a south western federal taxation book and self study with Wiley but i figured i'm gonna be wasting so much time trying to read lengthy discussions! or i would pay the premium of getting a review program for REG only and do away with summarized versions of the concepts. I'm like yaeger because its using wiley and i've read in many discussions that the sims and MCQ in wiley is better and more difficult than other review programs. I'm considering gleim also for the its test bank but i havent read about it yet though. I'd rather overstudy for detailed facts and information for a few additional hours and pass than to study sufficient and have a bigger margin to fail and do countless hours to study again. Thank you again for your reply!! and the waiting is getting crazy!! a month!??! I'm just waiting for my 2 and its killing me! haha

    @cpaman

    thank you for your inputs as well, scared for this subject so i want to make sure i do it right the first time!

    Another week….minimum. Part of me just says to be realistic and expect scores the last week of June…and yes I hope I am wrong. πŸ™‚

    The loophole worked last testing window, although WI speeded up their process by about 95 so now the loophole only gives you about a 2 day heads up – used to give you a few weeks.

    Good luck to everyone waiting for results!

    It wouldn't be so bad if NASBA just said “We expect to being receiving scores sometime during the week of June 20th and should receive all scores no later than June 30th.” If they just said that straight up, I don't think people would get as upset. Instead, they tell us some ambiguous statement like “the third week of June” and don't tell us until later exactly which third week they are talking about, and then say all scores shoud be in by June 30th. It sounds like a total cop out.

    I do wish they'd hurry up with the scores. That way, if I passed, I can study for REG with a lot of motivation.

    I have definately been slacking a little in my REG studies lately. It's hard to focus while waiting for scores. AICPA, if you would like to make my birthday extra special today…an early release of BEC scores (passing) would do it! πŸ™‚

    Right there with you CPAMan! I need to start studying for REG but have absolutely zero motivation while I wait for 3 scores that will likely either energize me or defeat me (hopefully not permanently). Hang in there!

    Quick question for you guys…

    Lets say you calculate your raw score to be around 70% (w/out the “supposed” curve or any weighted scoring), what do you think the odds of passing are with getting 70% of the multiple choice and sims right?

    thanks

    If I only truly knew the crazy calculation that was used to figure out a passing score. Truth be told, I doubt there is a way we could even figure it out. There are probably too many factors (difficulty of testlets, new questions, etc.) to ever actually know.

    Happy Birthday, ErinBrookeTX.

    I hate to be the one to tell you this, but I doubt scores will be released today. πŸ™

    I'd just keep hopeing that your present will be a passing score!!! πŸ™‚

    @You can do it, 3 scores!!!!!! How was doing 3 in one window? I'm debating doing 3 this window since I take FAR July 1st and (hopefully) only have BEC and AUD to finish.

    AUD 81 (X4) Previous scores 59, 72, 72
    REG 80 (X3) Previous scores 59, 60
    FAR 75 (X2) Previous score 67
    BEC 79 (X2) Previous score 58

    Thanks Becks! I figured they won't be out today….BUT that would be awesome! As long as it's passing….I don't care when I received it! πŸ™‚

    It will be interesting to find out how your self assessment matched up to your actual score. That should be a statistic everyone keeps track of to help out future generations of test takers with the waiting process. It is more scientific than “{I felt good” or “there was not anything I did not recognize.” That is also the problem with many of the practice tests I think, they don't have the weighting formula either.

    GOOD LUCK!!

    REG - 79
    BEC - 74, 86
    FAR - 63, 75
    AUD - 71, 71, 90

    The Wiley test bank uses a straight percentage when calculating sample exam scores. There's also a statement to the effect that the AICPA scoring method is proprietary but Wiley believes their scores will typically be lower than the AICPA scores. I don't know if there's any validity to this statement, but I thought I'd throw it out there.

    FAR 4/1/11 - 89
    AUD 4/15/11 - 85
    REG 4/29/11 - 80
    BEC 5/13/11 - 85
