AnonymousInactive@kandisjoy- That's true. I guess we all have a different type of anxiety.

HighMileageDudeParticipantI think what (potentially) sucks the most is seeing traffic to these boards die down for a few weeks until scores come out. I'd like to see lots of people still posting here the next 2 weeks to keep me sane and entertained

MinimortyParticipant@ HighMileageDude — I totally agree. I am new to the boards but I keep finding myself checking back here to see if anyone has posted anything new. Hopefully people continue to participate. We should think of some sort of forum game to keep us sane while we wait for our scores.

juseyParticipantI feel extremely qualified to discuss the CPA exam takers being as though I have gone through 4 test windows and am now completely done….You all deserve to complain about the scoring process until you are blue in the face. It is torture and simply horrible to do to anyone! I am glad it is over for me and I wish everyone the best of luck….
Now…I get to complain about my State Board not having a defined application process for licensing! At least I have something to look forward to coming home to every day….my mailbox with hopefully a license in it.
Good luck Everyone!! I will pray for you all!

AnonymousInactiveYeah, I notice these CPA forums have died down over the past couple of years. Does that mean fewer people are taking the exam this year?? I wonder. Because I could've sworn that last year, this board was flooded!

pitzParticipantVery true, Jeff. I can't much blame you there. Don't worry about the haters. 🙂

AnonymousInactiveWell, hello everyone! I've been silently stalking this thread for a few months trying to get any information on Q2 release dates. Instead of lurking, I thought it best to come in and join the party. Hopefully this is that last hurdle for me for the CPA exam, but still cautiously optimistic. I have enjoyed reading other people's stories about their experiences and related to the same hardships that they experience. Good luck to all that are awaiting results!
I especially enjoy the stories where friends or relatives show little to no comprehension to the difficulty of the exam. “You been studying for how long?” “I had a hard test on *fill in lame topic* in college.” I personally had a mother-in-law that was disappointed that I didn't get all 4 done in the last testing period. Just have to give her a “stink-eye” and shake my head.

AnonymousInactiveIf I failed, then all hope is lost for me. I studied extremely hard and knew this material in my sleep. If my hard work didn’t pay off, I’m going to be demoralized. At least most people here seem to have an idea of how they did. Some people think they passed and some people think they did ok. With me, I don’t know how I did. And as the days go by, the more I don’t know because it starts becoming more of a blur. I could have done very well if I did indeed answer a lot of questions correctly or I could have done poorly if I made so many careless errors. I guess I’m in the minority that feels this way, but my score could be anything and this waiting is driving me mad.

jeffKeymasterCPAMan – the traffic is cyclical … with the score releases happening late in the 3rd month of the quarter, it's delayed insanity.
My June traffic should well exceed 1M page views. Overall the site averaged 700k page views a month in 2010.

yankeeaccountantParticipant@cpaman,
you are in good company. I don't know how I did either. I also think there are alot of people who feel that way. With each day that passes, I lose my memory of the exams, I took my first one on 4/1/2011, that is just gone from my head. I am feel like I am losing hope and then panicking that I may have failed. Talking about being demoralized—I get those feelings. I am not working right now, because I am focusing on passing these exams. I can't think of anything worse then having to tell all my friends, family, or former coworkers that even studying full time I didn't pass. UGH. Those thoughts send me into a tailspin downward.
I think , at least for me, I am going to keep my head on my next exam: REG. But that is hard while waiting for scores.
Try not to obsess, what is done is done. The waiting is hard, but don't make it harder on yourself. Take pride in knowing that you worked hard and gave it your all. Take the time to find the positive in what you have accomplished. I don't know about you but I never studied this hard in college. So, for that, I will give myself a pat on the back.
Best of luck to you!!!!

AnonymousInactiveYeah, I miss the days in college when I used to only have to put in a few hours of studying and get a 90 on a test. Now, I have to study 20+ hours a week. Ugh!!

mla1169ParticipantIs it possible to be too exhausted to care anymore about my score? LOL! I am so done with doing this that I'm very much considering dropping the whole thing if I fail REG, at least until I am done with school because this f/t job, being in school for my M.S. in Accounting and Finance, studying nonstop since last September for these exams, plus 2 kids is enough to drive a person to an early grave!
