    Hi Jeff,

I understand you are not making any predictions, but I was just wondering (and I tried to find the info on the website on my own but got lost).

What are Wave 1 and Wave 2 for October/ November windows? I'm taking FARE Oct. 30th and REG Nov. 30th, I understand these are two different waves?

    Thank you.

EDIT: Actually, never mind. It's in your book.

I'll do some predictions in October…I was joking when I said I wasn't doing them anymore b/c I was being blamed for the AICPA releasing them late. 🙂

Jeff, I know you can make predictions in October as to when the exams will be posted.

However, can you say now when the cutoff date will be for Wave 1? I want to take AUD during the last week of Oct. and I would love to know if this will be in Wave 1?

Also, this will be a redo for me. I got a 74 on AUD when I took it in August.

Can I assume I will be taking a different AUD exam? I heard there are 3 to 5 versions

of the exams particularly as it refers to the SIMS. Does the AICPA keep track of the fact this is a repeat exam and give you a different exam from the first one?

I believe Jeff answered this in a previous post, wave 1 ends Nov 7th. Also, I doubt you will get the same Aud exam.

Yes I remember reading that Nov. 7 is the cutoff. However, I took the REG exam on

10/28/08 and I ended up getting my score in Dec 2008 Wave 2.

Anyway, I will accept Nov. 7 as the cutoff. I only hope I will be in Wave 1 if I take AUD during the last week of Oct. I would not want to wait until Dec for my score.

Well, waves 1 and 2 are about most released grades. There are always some exceptions, – exams with new simulations or borderline scores get delayed to either wave 2 from wave 1, or to 2a or 2.5 wave from wave 2.

This is all a bit confusing – but that is how I understand it…

Quick question – I've read on here before that the best estimate for a Wave 1 cutoff is about the 7th of the second month of the wave. Is this true? I'm planning on re-taking REG on Nov. 2, just wondering if I qualify for wave 1 unless I get a new sim. Thanks.

Everything you have said is correct, you should qualify:-).

Duh! I didn't even read the few posts above mine, guess that would have answered my question. Thanks for a quick response though, Anna! Best of luck to you!

My post may have gotten mixed up in another thread, but maybe it relates more to the topic of this thread's conversation…

I took FARE yesterday, and both of my simulations had all unrelated tabs. Does this seem to be the new "norm" with simulations, or does this mean I have a "new" simulation (meaning I will automatically be pushed into Wave 2)?

Just trying to figure out if I shouldn't expect my grade until December, or if there is still hope for Wave 1…

    Thanks 🙂
