Hi All,

I actually am in the same boat as many of you. Started my CPA journey a while back and took the tests. I studied for all the exams and failed all of them. I feel like it is very endless and can’t seem to motivate myself to get back on track and really focus. I’m actually starting back up again and def want to pass the exam. Do you guys have tips on how to make it a little easier? I just ordered the Wiley books (had Becker previously), so hopefully that has good tips and good questions on how to go about the exam.

Welcome!! I hope your journey to become a CPA speeds up and is quick!

Becker and Wiley books sound good. There are many other review materials out there, as well. You have to figure out what works best for you and what methods will get you to pass.

I have been using Becker and have done well on the exams. If you didn't have any luck on multiple exams, chances are you need to reevaluate your study method. Try and think back to what gave you the most trouble, and relate that to how your prepared. Did you try to memorize everything and then just get confused on the exam? Or maybe you reworked multiple choice homework problems until you started memorizing them (even unintentionally) and then got confidence from there.

In any case, some review courses may better suit you, but before you begin again be sure to set up a strong study plan so you can work through your weaknesses. Remember, it's as much learning to take the exam as it is learning the material from your study books. Good luck!
