    If you are a Nevadan like myself, grades have been posted early! Wanted to save you from a sleepless night 🙂

    I passed, so grateful to never have to worry about AUD again. Last up is BEC!

    Did you think you were gonna pass? Does it seem as if Q2 scores might have been curved?

    Has anybody from NV checked for a BEC score yet? Thanks

    I am torn with whether I thought I would pass and if the curve is more noticeable.

    First, with passing, I felt really good leading up to the exam. I did almost all the mcq in Becker and had run through the sims once the weekend before. I also had 6 months of audit experience (nothing special, but totally convinced it helped me with the familiarity of terms). In the test, I knew I did well on the mcq. I maybe flagged 3 out of all of them. The reason I thought I would fail was the sims. They were incredibly hard and confusing and I felt like I didn't get any of them right. But, this is exactly all how I felt after I left REG, so that gave me hope.

    I am curious about the curve because three of my coworkers and myself took it this quarter and we all four passed, which is unheard of normally when our office has multiple people taking it at once. But again, that could just be speculation. My coworkers might have all legitimately worked their asses off and passed for that reason.

    @reallytired, did you attend UNR?

    I took my exams through Nevada and attended UNR as well. That's surprising on them releasing scores that early as, their scores are usually released at 5AM the morning of score release…

    @cessnapilot30, Yes I did attend UNR, graduated undergrad in 2015 and the MAcc program in 2016. What about you?

    I agree, I didn't believe it at first, but checked just to be safe. I appreciate them releasing early, it was a nice change of pace!

    Hey Hey Hey to my fellow The University of Nevada alumni, Wolf Pack 4 life.

    Nevada State Board of Accountancy isn't affiliated with NASBA, apparently

    Which means they're not under NASBA's score release time.

    They could've released it a month ago, but I guess for the sake of consistency, they wanted to release it on a similar time frame as everyone else.

    There is more UNR folks here than I thought.

    And yes I graduated from there in '14,'15 and '16 (BS Math, BS Accounting, MBA). Passed the exams earlier this year.

    Suffered through Dr Carslaw, Dr.Jackson and Dr. Vreeland. Best accounting professors on the planet

    Dr. Carslaw has officially retired and Dr. Vreeland is getting ready to retire. My coworkers and I always joke that not having them as intermediate accounting professors makes an accounting degree illegitimate because the newbies don't have to suffer like we did haha!

    Carslaw was the man, myth and legend. His grading scale was tougher than the CPA exam with an 80 being an A. That guys exams were brutal. I remember getting them back and there were markups all over the thing like he wrote another problem trying to show me what I did wrong. Very sharp guy and he had the #1 score in the state on the CPA exam back in like the 80's.Loved how he would bring copies of handouts to class or the exam and the paper was so fresh off the printer it was still super hot. lol good times. Glad you guys made it through the right way of accounting at Nevada.
