    I am signing up to take my audit exam sometime in the 2nd week of October. I am studying now with Becker and am almost done with chapter 2. I plan on finishing the other 3 chapters and giving myself a week of review. But i was wondering how people studied.

    Right now I am putting in about 5 hours a day.

    1) reviewing note-cards

    2) Making some condensed notes

    3) making note-cards on topics that do not have note-cards.

    4) writing out explanations to the Hw I get wrong.

    Anyone have any other study tips or advice. I am freaking out over audit. I hate the amount of memorization much rather take FAR again to tell you the truth.

    BEC: 82
    FAR: 79
    AUD: 85
    REG: July 10th

    @Joey36y,

    Seriously, don't worry! Just get through it all….and then worry about memorizing key items during your review stage the week or two before the exam. I seriously only studied Audit for 4 weeks total, one week I was on vacation at the beach, and got a 97. You can do it! When you start memorizing…pay attention to *exact phrases* Once you write it out and say them out loud only a few times it'll stick.

    I don't know if this helps but try visualize audit this way: out of all the 4 sections AUD is the “simplest” (note I didn't say “easiest”). REG has such a detailed tax code that you couldn't possibly know every topic. FAR has so much material and calculations as well. BEC also has calculations and topics with definite grey areas. AUD is almost purely black and white. Very little grey areas. The materials cover pretty much all there is to AUD. There's really not a topic they can throw at you that you haven't seen.

    Now, here is the least helpful advice: memory is key for AUD. I have an excellent memory for tests so I felt AUD was a piece of cake. So I guess the key here is to keep drilling the information into your head. Oh, and I was able to answer 4 sims 100% correctly using the research tab. Use it! And remember, you've seen it all. AUD is very straight forward. Keep drilling it until it sticks!

    Aud 4/2/11 - 86
    Far 5/27/11 - 83
    Bec 7/1/11 - 82
    Reg 8/13/11 - 86! It's over!!!!
