I have been following this forum for at least a year now and have never posted. I just got my early exam score 4 days before the actual release date and my birthday. I got a 72 on Reg. I crammed for two weeks and this is my second attempt after getting a 66 4 months ago. For anyone that has been in a similar situation what do you recommend to get those 3 points next time? How long should I wait for a retake? My first exam expires on Halloween at this rate I’m trying to finish all 4 by year end.

Well you can’t retake REG again until October, so I’d focus on AUD and FAR (I’m assuming you’ve taken neither based on your signature).

I’d first try to knock out FAR and take it the first week of September.

Then that gives you 3 weeks for AUD, which in my opinion, is more than enough if studying full time. Should take it at the end of Sept.

That would give you almost a month to study and retake REG. Focus on your weak points and constantly review everyday. Pound at least 100 mcq everyday.

I don’t want to be a negative Nancy, but if you don’t pass FAR or AUD during this time, I would kinda prepare for BEC to expire 😔

No way you're going to finish them all by the end of the year. Put that out of your mind.

Your BEC is going to expire. It sucks, but that's the situation.

At this point, I would go back to studying REG since the material must still be somewhat fresh, and then pass REG, and then keep going nonstop. Schedule REG as soon as you can at the beginning of the Q4 period so that you can take another exam at the end of the window. Always plan so you can double-up two tests inside a window. The way you pass these things is by doing questions, m/c and simulation, nonstop. No life, nothing else in life besides doing questions. For two years I did nothing on Fridays and weekends except sit in front of a computer with Becker by myself.

You should probably expect another year's worth of dealing with this “experience.” Some exams will just fail you no matter how much you study, some won't. At least half of the secret to passing is a roll of the dice.

If you crammed for 2 weeks and got a 72 I congratulate you. Pretty impressive.
I'd suggest you invest some more time and do the same for the others. Clock is ticking.
This isn't a cram for 2 weeks and pass kind of test. You need at least 3 weeks of cramming.

Put in more time on MCQ and run the reports in whatever review course you are using. You have to figure out where your weak areas are and focus on those. Let BEC go.

You definitely need to start over as though you've never seen Reg. From start to finish, that will guarantee you did all you can. Sometimes 72/73's are the worst scores because you get overconfident, when there are definitely some weak areas. You've got this, you might lose BEC but just focus on what's at hand now and figure everything out later when you get your scores back!

Retake REG as soon as you can while you still have the knowledge. I failed BEC 4 times before i finally passed on my 5th attempt. I did not wait after I received my 4th attempt score of 73. I immediately went back to full study mode since I knew I was so close to 75. I was studying for REG at the time but I took a break from REG and gave BEC a full 3 weeks of constant MCQs and listening to NINJA Audio on my way to/back from work. I did a few SIMs but I mainly focused on completing 90 MCQs a day and of course during weekends, I exceeded this goal. I'd say this method worked for me. I recommend the same. Good luck.

Pretty good for only 2 weeks studying honestly. I think the fix is easy – just start from scratch next time and study for 3 weeks. I would not consider myself gifted by any means and I only studied 3 weeks for REG and got an 84 – I crammed like crazy (averaged 6-7 hours a day). Since your passed section falls off in October I would say get the hardest section out of the way right now (probably FAR) and be conservative on how much time you give yourself to study – i.e. make sure you pass.

Come back to REG in October when you can take it again, three weeks, pass it, on to the next one.

My personal advice if your goal is YE19 is to just be conservative and give yourself the time you need – if you dont have that luxury then just bust your tail day and night to make it happen. With that said, consider why you want to finish by YE – promotion? raise? bonus? – if not, perhaps forgo that goal so you ensure you pass without failing.
