OK my fellow NC test takers… I see that Phyllis posted on the site that the FAR scores were mailed on 9/1… well, today is 8/30… does anyone have an opinion on what that means? Is she estimating that she’ll send them out on 9/1, or did she accidentally think TODAY was 9/1?

Thoughts?

Oh, and as this is my first experience waiting for scores… isn’t NC hell for scoring? Hearing people having their results a week ago has driven me mad!!! I had a bad feeling in my exam (moderate 1st testlet, hard 2nd testlet, moderate 3rd, only did the communication tabs, ignored the rest of the tabs). So I have no idea what I’m waiting for on my scores.

I think she's probably planning on mailing them 9/1. I've noticed that Phyllis is about 1 week behind the AICPA release. I'm waiting on my REG score which she hasn't even indicated that she's received them yet. I wish NC would get with the times and let us get our scores online. This waiting is horrible!

I think the most frustrating part is not knowing which mailing you'll be a part of… I know FAR was released in 3 increments on three different days… so while I know b/c I called NASBA that mine was released, I don't know which day it was. So I could be in the 9/1 mailing… or another mailing that hasn't happened yet… and then won't even know until 2+ days after.

I have no problem with the mailing… I just wish they'd give us the ability to check scores online immediately. Heck, I can get my driver's license renewed with the DMV and efile my NC taxes in NC… yet I can't get a Pass/Fail verdict until someone takes the time to stuff an envelope. Who knew that the DMV and state gov't would be more technologically advanced than the NC CPA's!

I am glad to see this post and to know that I am not alone in my frustration with how old school the NC method of results are. They can email the NTS, why can't they email the results?! I took REG on 7/5 and am still waiting to see how it went. It is a killer to see how everyone else gets their results a week earlier. I email Phyllis almost daily to see if REG has even been received by them, and as of this morning, still nothing. It's driving me CRAZY!!

Hopeful this time around.... Back after a 2 year break!!

Okay, as far as the mailing of grades in NC…is anything ever good enough for you? You complained that on 08/31/10, the website said scores will be mailed 09/01/10…ever thought that NC is trying to give candidates a heads up about grades? And maybe, just maybe, if you didn't email or call the board every single day, she could actually get the grades out? My mama told me you can catch more flies with sugar than vinegar, so maybe you should try to understand that 1 person handles all the exam stuff in NC and be nice.
