AnonymousInactiveOH weeks, months….Yesterday, I got a notice that I needed to have ILBOA release my certification to IDFPR and they couldn't process the license any further until that was done. I handled it first thing this morning, and got a notice this afternoon that it was sent today…SNAIL MAIL. How many weeks it takes to go from Naperville to Springfield is the question. I sent my application in on 1/11 and they cashed my check on 1/22…mailed the above notice on 1/30. =)
I did get my certification notice and number within about 10 days of score release but you have to have a license to put CPA behind your name.
(I already have my email signatures updated in Outlook…just waiting for the day!)
I will apply for a license in Georgia as soon as I receive the IL number. I have to start a little side “firm” that starts with keeping the books for my father's company (Georgia) after his passing in December. Bittersweet. My step monster was the bookkeeper and she just walked away so I get to do it now. Mostly reviewing the financials, payroll and monthly tax reports, answering questions and making the magic happen, etc.

yay4bnlMemberI'm seriously already twitchy about this next score release. My birthday is the 25th. I find out if I passed my last section (BEC) on the 24th. I've seen people's post-exam write-ups where they say that they looked up questions and know they got stuff wrong – but I couldn't even remember a single question to look up, let alone remember the four choices and which I picked. I just know that I didn't feel good at ALL coming out of it. I only gave myself four weeks to study because my Jnauary was really easy last year and thought I'd have time, but I was working 65 hour weeks this January, so that didn't quite go as planned. I fell asleep studying almost every night all month. Ugh.
I'm not religious at all, but I've been repeatedly asking the Universe to let me have this one.
PLEASE LET THIS BE OVER.
*Sigh* 13 more days. Just needed to vent. 🙂
FAR - 89
REG - 81
AUD - 88
BEC - 80 - Annnnnd SCENE.February 11, 2014 at 3:32 pm #533587
