NASBA Scheduled Release Date Wrong? – March 11th

I just realized that the NASBA published scheduled released date of March 11th is wrong. The description states 6th Business Day after month-end. However, March 11th is the 7th Business Day after month-end. Any chance there is a mistake and it’s supposed to say March 8th with scores starting to come out March 7th?

You seem to be right from my count as well, so we can only hope. 🙂

I also was wondering about this. I wonder if anyone has any previous score release experience where this happened?

I just checked the NASBA email they sent regarding score release to make sure something wasn't copied wrong. The email also says that the 6th business day is March 11th.

@Jeff – do you have any insight on this? It seems pretty clear that the 6th business day after month-end is March 8th and not March 11th.

Well I guess that answers that question. Still weird that if they knew their published information was wrong, they didn't take the time to release a revised scheduled. Nice “communications” department there.

With the way scores are going this year, I think it would be wise for us to anticipate the latter. I'm sure the problems so far are playing into delaying the expected date.

I'm telling myself not to expect a score until the 15th just so I'm not going crazy like the poor souls still waiting on the wave 2 results. Ha!

But, I still bet the first NASBA state scores are released on the 8th… if not the 7th (6th business day less 1).

@MCLKT I completely agree, especially since I will be waiting for BEC I am giving myself a week cushion so my spirits don't get crushed if my score doesn't come when i expect it.

@WICPA06 Why would they need to release a revised schedule? The communications said that they stand by the March 11 date.

Why wouldn't they need a revised schedule? Because they responded on their blog to one person that they stand by the March 11th date? It still doesn't change the fact that their schedule is clearly wrong. Plus, this is the same schedule that NASBA sen't out to all candidates. I know it's nit picky, but little things are what we get tested on in these exams. If they can test me on little details that in the scheme of things don't really matter, then I expect the same from them.

If you make a mistake and realize it's a mistake that got sent out to the entire country and you are the governing body, wouldn't you think they would just send out a revised schedule instead of getting hundreds of emails and/or calls on the same question?

If I put this in financial statement terms, which I know we all love, that would be like me reporting I have $3 million in revenues, but then providing a small footnote at the end of the report that really it should be $2 million and that I stand by the footnote.

I agree they should revise the schedule. Especially because the new date that they are standing by does not coincide with their own rules for determining the projected date (6 business days). It's just laziness, if I tried to pull that kind of crap at my job I'd never hear the end of it.

In the end, I'm not too worried about the exact date. I could get my score in April for all I care. But, if they are going to put information, guidelines, etc. out there, then they should make sure it's correct. If it's incorrect, they should update it.

I'm getting anxious of the wait. I want to study, but my mind is elsewhere.

    FAR - 92 02/2013
    AUD - 90 05/2013
    REG - 85 10/2013
    BEC - 80 12/2013

    I'M DONE. THANK YOU LORD!

NASBA does what they wanna do. If they say the 11th is the 6th, then its the 6th day.

    REG - 5/29/12 (64), 10/1/12 (74), 5/20/13 (75, expires 12/31/14)
    FAR - 8/14/12 (64), 8/5/14 (75)
    BEC - 11/19/12 (70), 2/25/13 (72), 11/21/13 (73), 1/21/14 (73), 8/30/14 (72), 11/24/14 (75)
    AUD - 4/22/13 (65), 10/12/13 (79)

    I'm done!!!

It not only makes them look bad by knowning the published information is wrong and not revising anything, but then to also let NASBA publish the same wrong information.

I agree with MCLKT. I don't really care when I get my score and I know I am agruing over a day or two. I would just expect more from the governing body.

I'm not even going to bother to check my score. I gave my NTS # and DOB to Sandra (she used to post on here, but now that she's done, I don't think she does anymore) for her to check it. I don't have a snowball's chance in hell of actually passing, so I'm not getting worked up over it. As for them not changing the date, it just seems kind of lazy on someone's part. But maybe they are trying to protect their servers from the onslaught of constant refreshing by anxious, hopeful candidates. Or maybe the employee at NASBA who is responsible for updating the dates is tied up sending out completely useless and irrelevant tweets! I'm ready to ditch the twitter account just because of them! If I could remember the password, I'd just block them and stick with Jeff's tweets. His are at least relevant!

You would think that with the whole situation a couple months ago with realizing people's exam were scored incorrectly a year ago they would be extra careful about posting anything incorrect or making mistakes.
