Whoa, those are extremely low scores. I wouldn't rush into taking AUD until you know much more of the material. Do you use the WTB or Ninja MCQ? If so, what scores are you getting?

Decided to check my score one final time last night before going to bed. About 10:30 pm PST. Passed AUD with a 98. So exciting! Now I can focus on the final two and get them done with.

    FAR - PASSED!! - 95
    AUD - PASSED!! - 98
    REG - PASSED!! - 93
    BEC - PASSED!! - 90

Just a couple of thoughts I tried to remember as I went through the journey of passing the CPA exams:
Philippians 4:6 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."
Philippians 4:13 "I can do all this through him who gives me strength."

I found out this morning that I passed FAR on my 5th time taking it!

I used Becker the first two attempts (but never left myself enough practice time at the end), the next two attempts I couldn't bear to listen to Gearty anymore, so I just studied the Becker book and wrote notes and flashcards and memorized formulas and rules.

On my 5th try I did nothing but Ninja MCQs for about three weeks…. around 1800 question attempts total. My weakest area was apparently Governmental and Not-for-profits, because the MCQs really zeroed in on those. My average score was 64, my trending score was 71, and I passed with a 77.

So, Ninja kicked my butt over the finish line!

Green Diamond – It seems Becker isn't working for you. You aren't too far off. I used becker as well but I got the Ninja notes/audio and would listen to those during my free time. I admit I didn't extensively use them for AUD as I did for FAR. Still helped though. Since I didn't want to pay for more review material, I signed up for free 24 hr access for AUD with Wiley/CPA Excel and just did MCQ's for a whole day just prior to exam day. Different flavor of questions and that's what probably helped. Good luck!

    @ Green Diamond.

I failed AUD first two times by using Becker.

For all other 3 sections, i passed on my first try with Becker but for some reason, i kept scoring 73, 74 with Becker on AUD.

Switched to CPAExcel Wiley Study Guide for AUD and I ended up with 84. Cant be happier

    FAR - 86
    REG - 85
    BEC - 90
    AUD - 84

Missed on FAR with a 69. I know that I have weak areas and I'm sure my score report will identify those accordingly. I definitely had doubts that I would pass them all on the first try and this just confirms that this will be a long journey with bumps in the road.

I'm looking forward to getting back after it once I have taken BEC.

@Bon thanks for sharing your experience with FAR. I am in the same situation… I sit for the 4th time for FAR on the 25th of this month and with three weeks to go before exam day, I have been reeling and unmotivated. Finding out this morning that I passed REG, I immediately purchased the Ninja MCQ for FAR. I have heard nothing but good things and yes, after listening to the Becker lectures and going through motions in their questions I felt it was time for a change. I am going to pound the Ninja MCQs until my head hurts. It is encouraging to hear you can pass by using the Ninja products. Here goes nothing!

    @cpain2014 and @Greendiamond

I used Yaeger for AUD. I failed with a 68 in May. I was super discouraged and didn't get motivated until the end of August. I purchased the Yaeger cram course to quickly review everything. And honestly I started from the very beginning the 2nd time around. I focused on MCQs and SIMs that was recommended by Yaeger (instead of ALL questions in the textbook). I found myself getting the same questions wrong over and over and decided to make index cards to memorize those I couldn't grasp. That helped a lot! I was writing down financial ratio formulas every night for 2 weeks before the exam. I was also writing down the Management Assertions at least once a day for 2 weeks as well. For some reason I struggled with the Management Assertions. I made sure I did the MCQs and SIMs released by the AICPA (questions were on the back of the Wiley textbook). I re-read every question I got wrong and read the textbook explanation. If it was something I felt was important, I wrote it down on an index card.

The topics I struggled on might not be the same topics you've struggled on, so I would suggest using index cards for the topics you struggle on and review them once a day until you know it. I'll be using the same study method for FAR. I hope this helps and good luck. Hang in there!

    AUD - 68, 85
    FAR - 75
    BEC - 74, 76
    REG - 80

Found out past midnight last night that I passed FAR with an 88!! I just used CPAExcel and studied full-time over a period of 5 weeks. I wouldn't recommend taking that route, but since I wasn't starting work until the beginning of October I decided to knock FAR out in a short period of time and it worked! One more exam to go!!
