I think they're just doing this on purpose now. Has nothing to do with servers and international tests, just them being big bullies. At least if I keep telling myself that, I'll feel better that my grade isn't posted yet.

I'm not sure why everyone thinks that NASBA is bluffing about releasing the scores. They are trying to ensure that the servers don't go down from people refreshing every 5 seconds. If they release them early, it would defeat the purpose for every score release going forward.

@go2134 I guess because it doesn't make very much sense to give people a countdown if they are trying to avoid a server crash. When that clock hits zero so many people are going to check at the same time that it will be hard to recover from.

EDIT: Or maybe we just want to justify our refreshing (confession: I've been checking for about a week)

go2134, the thought is that if they released them precisely at 00:00:00:00, the site would DEFINITELY crash at that time. If they did so a little earlier, we would find out more slowly that the scores are up and reduce the traffic tomorrow morning.

Really, the whole countdown thing is idiotic if the goal is NOT to crash the site.

(Edit: While we're confessing, I've been checking mine for about 3 weeks…)

Except that the countdown is meaningless, since it is only based on what time zone your computer is set at. So who knows when scores really come out. The page says “…until Tuesday Nov. 4 CST”– no time is listed.
