I'm on my last year of school, so many of the concepts still stick around, which allows me to go over material that I'm familiar with fairly quickly. That being said, I studied for FAR about 7 weeks, and 2 weeks for REG (my school track is taxation).
I used Becker almost exclusively. For REG, I did use Ninja notes just for review purposes.
A few tips I feel might help:
– Read the chapters thoroughly before watching the lecture videos. Make your own notes (maybe in a different color)
– Do as many questions as you can. It takes a lot of time, but well worth it
– If some concepts are extremely complicated, such as retail inventory method for FAR, all kinds of phase-out/credit for Reg, just skip those. Don't waste too much on them, and it doesn't hurt you much since you probably only get one question on the exam.
– I do have last few days before exam exclusively reserved for review. Read through all my notes, redo all the marked questions, etc.
