Thisgirlneedstopassthecpa, your study sessions need to make you feel defeated. You should feel overwhelmed after a good study session because that means you didn't study material you were comfortable with. Too many people reinforce what they already know instead of spending time on the mods they hate. I will admit I started cutting myself during far. It was a difficult time

    FAR- 82
    REG- 93
    AUD- 89
    BEC- 88

92 in audit. BOOM half way to the finish line. I was so sure I failed that I left the test nearly cursing up a storm. I started studying right away. Ugh stress gone. Congrats to everyone who passed and to those that need to repeat there's no shame. I had resided to the fact that I'd be joining you and was preparing for it. You just take a deep breath and press on.

@Kickass–I'm sorry for my late response. You don't have anything in your signature. How many exams do you have left and how many are on that one NTS that expires in April? It's great that you have all the time to study. That will definitely work in your favor to knock these out in Jan/Feb/Apr.

Well, thought AUD was a joke and that I destroyed it…. 80. Not sure what the heck happened but I'll take it.

BEC in less than a month. I'm a-comin' for you. Time to finish this thing off once and for good.

Congrats to all that crossed the finish line today. I'll see you soon in the new year my friends.

Had dreams throughout the night of scoring a 73 so I had to wake up and see that I got a 84

    BEC - 84
    REG - 88
    FAR - 75
    AUD - 71, Nov 2015

REG 69 =( exact same score as the first time. Any suggestions? I've been using Becker, and this was the first time I had time to do progress tests. I was doing them two days prior to the exam. I felt defeated at the exam (especially SIMS), but thought there was still hope! sigh! Should I use Wiley &/or Ninja for reinforcement?

Guess I'll have to further postpone AUD and BEC into 2nd Qtr.

    FAR: 83
    REG: 69, 69, retake Q1 2015
    AUD: Q2 2015
    BEC: Q2 2015

I'm sorry wmcpa. I don't know anything about Becker, but I liked the Wiley book and the Ninja MCQ. They are both pretty inexpensive. I think the Wiley book was $45 and the Ninja MCQ was $47. You can do this. Start studying now and retake in mid Jan then you could possibly squeeze in BEC at the end of February. I got 69 on my first REG take and jumped up to 87 on my retake. Don't let the 69 discourage you. It's a heck of a lot better than getting a 74!

What helped me on the REG portion was having my rtrp certificate. The problem with tax is that it is easily absorbed but not so easily retained. Most of the laws are very logiCal and resultimately from people trying to beat the system. I always think about the laws from a rich tax evaders perspective. Does that help?

    REG- 93
    AUD- 89
    BEC- 88

    @wmcpa,

currently studying for REG using an outdated version of Bisk and Ninja MCQ's. Biggest help is identifying weak areas (mine are corporate tax, amt, and trusts) and going over those day in, day out. Questions, read the explanations, write down material onto note cards (this is one of the better things as writing reinforces the learning), saying the answers out loud… I am a former teacher so think back to the best way you learned in high school/college (favorite teacher usually works) and how you learned in that class and repeat that for yourself.

I'd also suggest Ninja MCQ's and hit those hard. I spent my last week just answering questions

    BEC - 84
    REG - 88
    FAR - 75
    AUD - 71, Nov 2015
