    I'm glad to see this thread exists. It feels so much better to know I'm not alone in my nervousness. REG was one of those- “I felt good, but it could really go either way…” sorta things..

    AUD – 80

    REG – 11/14

    FAR – 68, 66

    BEC – 2/15

    I'm at work watching this clock like a dog sits and watches its leash waiting for someone to take them out.

    This is my first time I've had to experience ‘the clock countdown'.. and of course this is my last exam hopefully.. this is torture. I'm debating whether or not to ‘nyquil' my night away or have a date until the wee hours of the morning with the refresh button. Any thoughts ? 🙂

    Taxman, I disagree. The clock is horribly tacky and many can construe it as mocking. A simple statement that scores will be released at such and such time is much more appropriate and professional.

    @britt I'm not going to sit here and tell you the responsible decision would be to go to sleep and get a good nights rest when I am going to be up all night hitting refresh haha

    In the spirit of Festivus, please release the scores early!

    Until then…Serenity Now!

    Does anyone else think releasing the score at 1 AM is terrible. Nothing good comes from that. This is my last exam. I'm not going to be able to sleep. If I find out I failed at 1 AM I won't sleep all night. If I find out I passed I'll be so excited I won't sleep. I'll want to call the hundreds of people that have supported me in the years this has taken but I won't be able to. I really really dislike releasing the score at 1 AM.

    I understand they don't want the site to crash, but this really effects us. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

    @acctaks: If I don't pass I'm punching myself in the face then calling the cops on myself.

    Ha! You get me on a level no-one else ever has… so basically I won't be at work tomorrow because I will be in jail with a black eye.

    REG-83 July/14

    AUD-92 Aug/14

    FAR- 81 Oct/14

    I have to keep telling myself to breathe because I am literally that much out of breath. I really hope this is the last time I have to sit through this. The anticipation is killing me!

    the only reason they need the clock is because candidates wont listen when they say “we will release scores on the 9th” and constantly F5 their page the day before and crash their systems. If anything the clock is a direct result of cpa candidates not being professional and not waiting until the actual release date to check the scores (tho it is understandable imo).

    the sole reason they need the clock is because we crash their site. THey have set a release date and are sticking to it….In addition to the clock they have made many statements saying “this is the release date” but they had to put the clock in because they knew we wouldnt believe them that the 9th was the release date and would crash their site again (prolly true(

    @taxman

    Unfortunately this has been my goal and something I have worked towards for over half my life. So I can't just pretend like the score is released 9 hours later than it is.

    I hate waiting for my score just as much as everyone else on here, but I agree with @taxman.

    They are releasing the scores on the date that they are targeting to release them and they are using that reasoning, along with their servers crashing in prior releases, as justification for doing so. While I don't like it one bit, I understand it.

    That being said, I do think the clock is a bit insulting to CPA candidates. I think NASBA could have simply disabled the site and firmly stated that the scores will be available on the target release date at 8 a.m. CT time. We shouldn't need a clock to count down the hours until the release time when all of us are perfectly capable of figuring out how long it's going to be until that point.

    @taxman

    NASBA created this monster. If they didn't want people clicking F5 over and over a day before the release date…..Don't release the score a day early. They started that pattern. The “unprofessional” candidates didn't wait for the deadline because they never had too.
