My dear friends,
I just found out I passed FAR, my final exam, after two years of taking the CPA exam. So it’s time I say adieu to the site that kept me motivated, and often entertained, during what seemed like a life-tenure of being a CPA candidate. I want to leave the next group, the next CPA generation with something. So for anyone just starting out, for anyone who has more exams to go, and for anyone who didn’t pass this one, there is a poem I read often during this chapter of my life, it is something that kept me going.
“Out of the night that covers me
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.
In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.
Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds and shall find me unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate,
I am the captain of my soul.”
This test will teach you so many things about yourself you never knew. I learned how resilient I am. How tenacious, ambitious, and courageous I am. What will you learn?
My dearest friends
I’m free now
You will be next…
