So the MCQs seemed to be on everything I studied. Got through book 1 and worried that it only took about 25 min. Rechecked a handful of questions that I had marked, changed my answer on one or two of them. Second book definately seemed harder but not outrageous. Only took about30 min. Went back and checked about half of them, and again changed my answer on 2 or 3. Book 3 was really easy, took about 20 min. Went back and checked almost every one of them, and again changed 2 or 3 but felt comfortable.

The sims? Started with 2 hours left. Found one sim that was just one research answer, thought it was “easy” and answered. Later went back and dug deeper and changed my easy opinion. 3 of them were weird, not what I studied for AUD, but was able to get some direction from the research material available. One of them I found word for word in the research material. Hooray! And one of them I based my answers on the annoying yet oddly helpful emails from the auditors of the company I work for. I hope THEY know what they are doing, otherwise they cost me one SIM! lol

All in all, I would be surprised to fail but not devastated. I have until April before I lose FAR. I have a great base of info if I have to take AUD again in November.

Now if I can feel as good about battling Hurricane Irene all will be right in the world!

Nice job mla, it sounds like you probably passed! And don't let people tell you that having an “easy” testlet is bad. Easy to you might be difficult for someone else. Don't let people make you doubt yourself.

As for auditors knowing what they're doing… ha. I hope they are better than some of the auditors I have to deal with at my work. At first I just felt sorry for them (since I audited for a year and hated it) but now I just find them annoying. I work at a bank so I have to deal with several teams of auditors/examiners, several times a year. I have to basically teach them how to do my job and then they try to figure out if I'm doing it right… lol

Thats the hard part of AUD, seperating what you know to be true in REALITY from what is true in academics.

When I was studying (last night!) there was a question on cpareviewforfree.com about audiing a municipalities property tax revenue and sending positive confirmations to property tax owners.

I thought to myself “sure, I get a letter from the town of Danvers asking me to confirm I owe $2700 in property taxes…..”

Knowing its not likely that I as a homeowner would ever sign it, made it hard to think an auditor would bother sending it LOL

I started out with a difficult one, then got easy, felt almost too easy, then got a more difficult one. I had one research tab and 4 simulations that were DIFFICULT and 2 that were medium. It was kind of depressing…..

    BEC - 65 (4/10), 83 (8/10)
    AUD - 64 (10/10), 73 (2/11), 93 (8/11)
    REG - 47 (7/09), 80 (10/11)
    FAR - 84 (11/11) Texas. I'm done!!!

    Snick and Mia,

Thanks for sharing your exam experiences. I think it sounds like you both did well. I am gearing up for my second swipe on this on Tuesday. The savings grace of this exam is that I know time isn't a factor, at least I can cross that off my list!!

    Best of luck
