My exam credit 24 months??

I received my scores for the July/August testing block and I passed REG and failed FAR. I took REG on 7/31/11, however on the new NASBA system it is showing that I took the test on 9/23/11 and that my credit is good until 3/31/13. This means my REG credit is good for 24 months, how could that be – it should only be 18 months. This credit date showed up on my email with my score and also on the NASBA website that I just registered so I can apply for FAR again. Anyone have any idea about this?

Also it will not let me apply for FAR yet, I received my score on 9/21 – is there a wait period to r-register?

    Thanks

    REG 81
    FAR 70,85
    BEC 81
    AUD 91

I took AUD on 7/31 got my score on 9/19 and my credit is good until 3/19/13…Atleast for TX it's good from 18months from the date our score is ratified.

    REG-80, 77, 77
    BEC-67, 68, 71, 67, 71, 74, 71, 74, 72, 77
FAR- 72, 65,67, 53, 75 (truth be known the 53 was with 4 hours of studying)
    AUD-58, 62, 72, 74, 74, 75
took 5 years but I'm DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The credit will always expire the last day of the non-testing month.

    You took REG on 7/31/11

    Add 18 months.

    7/31/11 + 18 months= 1/31/13

The non-testing month is March. So the last day is 3/31/13.

    So, the expiration is accurate.

My credits expire 18 months to the day from the date I took my exam (not the last day of the non-testing month).

    Took BEC 4-16-2011, Expires 10-31-2012

    Took FAR 5-26-2011, Expires 11-30-2012

So I am not sure How they determine the expiration date. Perhaps different states define 18 months differently…

    BEC: 79 - April 2011
    FAR: 78 - May 2011
    AUD: 81 - May 2012
    REG: 79 - October 2012
    Ethics: Passed - March 2013
    I am finally DONE!

Every state is different with expiration on test scores. New York State the credit expires at the end of the testing window (end of the blackout month). For example I took Regulation on Jan 4, 2009 and my credit expired September 30, 2010.

Started sitting in May 2002, on and off. But since 2008 I've been nonstop and my scores are....
    AUD - 39, 48, 56, 65, 68, 73, 76!!! (Finally passed in Oct 2011!!!) Becker, NINJA, & Wiley
    REG - 75 (Lost Credit) 72, 68, 73, 75 (Passed again in Aug 2011) Becker, NINJA, & Wiley
    FAR - 65, 68, 75 (Lost Credit) 68, 73, 73, 80 (Passed again in May 2012) Roger, NINJA, & Wiley
    BEC - 65, 68, 71, 72, 72, 71, 76 (Lost Credit)- 70, 76!!!! I AM DONE!!! - Roger, NINJA, & Wiley
After 10 long years of studying, I AM DONE!!!! Finally a Licensed CPA in the State of New York!!

@jomarie – Interesting. So people in your state could have almost 2 full extra months of testing before scores drop off.

@Minimorty – That is true. That was my situation with Reg when I passed in in 2009.

@jomarie – I live in NY, so I guess that explains why my expiration date is different than others. Kind of pointless to have the last day to take the exam in a non testing month though, no?

Does anyone know why I cannot re-register yet for FAR? Got my score on Wednesday.

    FAR 70,85
    BEC 81
    AUD 91
