I just got my score back from AUD and didn’t pass! This test is killing me!!! I have until June 9th to pass all or I will have to retake BEC. It took me 4 attempts to pass BEC. Has anyone here pass 3 tests in 5 months while working a full time job? All words of encouragement are gladly appreciated! 🙂

    BEC – 4 attempts, 75 (11/16)
    FAR – 41, 28, 48
    AUD – 59
    REG – TBD

I think someone passed all four in 6 months surely 3 tests is do able….the main thing is focus and not panic. If you have a solid game plan and solid study material you should be fine, just be prepared for any money wrenches (money for tests, overtime on the job, sick children) anything that will keep you from studying or a good excuse not to study…..lol. Hey, you can do it,if you passed one part the others are doable.

    It begins with a 75

I passed all 4 sections in a 5 month window while working full time:

    Early July 2015: FAR
    Late August 2015: AUD
    Early October 2015: BEC
    Late November 2015: REG

Here's your schedule to pass your remaining 3 sections by June 9th:

    Mid to late February: FAR
    Early April: AUD
    Late May: REG

That gives you around 6 weeks per section, which should be enough if you're actively studying at least 20 hours per week. By actively studying I mean doing MCQs and taking detailed notes. Watching videos/listening to audio/reading books doesn't count toward the 20 hours.

Thank you for this! It is nice to see someone who has done it! That gives me hope!!! My Becker ran out so I will be repurchasing that today. Luckily they give it to you half off the next go around!

I think it may be time to just stop and take a moment and evaluate how you are studying. You have attempted these exams a number of times and not having any luck. You might want to change your study material or the way you are studying. What study material are you using? How many hours a week are you studying? You can do this but (from what I can tell) not the way you have been going at this.

Certainly doable, but just make sure you clearly keep in mind that it will be way harder than what you've come across so far. Unless you really suck at cost accounting and are great with AUdit, tax, and all other FAR subjects. I have passed all sections except for FAR, I found BEC to be the easiest for me, then REG, AUDIT, and am still struggling with FAR. So just know that it won't be any easier than what you've done so far, but certainly doable. Good luck.

WOMBAT, how does reading the book not count towards study time in your mind? Reading the book was absolutely critical for me to pass my exams so far and I'd definitely include it in the number of “quality” hours I studied. No way could I have passed by just cramming MC..

I passed three (AUD, BEC and FAR) in five months, while working full-time. It is definitely doable, but it is hard (and will become harder when the exam format changes in April). You probably aren't going to get through all of the material in time if you're following Becker's recommended course of study. @StudyNowCPA‘s advice is key: think about how you learn best, and tailor your study habits to suit your learning style. Good luck.

Technically, I did pass 3 in 6 months, however, one of them was a retake. But it's doable. Beware of decline in social interaction, saying “no” to hanging out, more consistent and quality studying, lots of dedication.

I mean this in the nicest way, but if your scores are below 50, there are some serious holes in your studying. Unless you can retain the information easily, this is a exam where you have to maintain the knowledge every day up to the date of the exam.

    BEC 80 (10/23/15)
    FAR 72 (4/2/15); 83 (7/11/16)
    REG 52 (4/28/15)
    AUD (9/9/16)

Yes, myself and many members on the board can attest to passing 3 parts in 5 months. I question your study methods though if you took the exam that many times but score so low. Are you honestly putting in at least 20 hours a week while working FT? Almost everyone that passed in a short period of time will tell you the key is to give up your life to the exam and only study when you have time or it's going to be very challenging. Not questioning your intelligence but I highly recommend you honestly evaluate yourself and study methods before you invest more into the exam.

@NeedsA75 I don't count reading the book towards active study time because reading the book doesn't require that you output/demonstrate anything you've learned, the way that writing notes or answering MCQs/Sims does. Reading books is more mentally engaging than listening to lectures, but I don't consider it to be active enough to be considered active learning.

What do you mean you only have until June 9th 2017? You passed BEC November 2016, which gives you until End of May 2018. No?

Nathalia – That was a typo. I passed BEC 11/2015.

    ah OK. Makes sense.

My coworker passed all 4 exams in 6 months and that includes the Feb 15-April 15 busy season period. She basically had no social life and gave it her all.

Now me on the other hand, been on this for about 10 months now and only half way through. That's because Im admittedly a lazy POS, I have a social media addiction, and I get intense fear of missing out. Every time a friend asked to hang out I couldn't say no. But that the fear of having to take the new exam is kicking in, I'm now at full speed. Saying no to everything my friends want to do, waking up early to study, studying during lunch, studying after work until I start to fall asleep.

So like everyone is saying, with scores that low, it's time to reflect. Are you actually putting in the time to study?
What are you doing to study? What are your distractions? And really how the heck did you manage to score a 28 in FAR?
