@LittleNumber, unfortunately there is no other way to survive other than by trudging on!!! The Wiley text will tighten up the details for you and that is what will push you over the edge to pass!!!! Here is another “technique” to help get you through the material: My last 30 minutes of studying generally begins a glass of red wine!!!! 😉

@MintsRGood – Red wine is a great remedy to many things and I also find it to be a fine catalyst to get working/studying, for some reason. I'm enjoying a glass right now as I make some Tegrity (don't know if anyone is familiar with it) lectures for an upcoming class that I'm teaching!

Oh good Lord! Now I'm so very tempted to pour a glass of red wine for the night.

I think I'll wait until the last 30 min. like Mints suggested… if at all.

I've been dry during study weeks for the last few tests and only drink the night before to help chillax, and score release day with hopes of passing out and waking up to a pass via CBA.

I had a glass of Cab before finally settling in to take notes. The idea of “starting over” was kind of bothering me all day today, and I could feel myself fighting it when I got home…… But after the glass, c'est la vie! :)))

Good luck on BEC, wish you best, you can do it and were almost done last time, one darn point! Go in on 9th and take it under your control and don't let anything spoil your success, this will be your last time!

@SeattleAccountant – Thanks for bumping this. I needed to read the posts again. I am currently drowning in Wiley textbook for audit. I might push back my exam because I feel like I am just on the surface still, of all the details. Maybe after doing notes this week I will feel differently.

Push it if you have to b/c nothing ruins the test than coming unprepared. I strongly believe in setting up the date at first and then, pushing it a little to adjust for illnesses, family visits, unexpected work issues and plain being behind. Better come prepared. I did change date from original July 29 to Aug 13 b/c once b/c I realized that I better prolong my suffering in preparation than go and bomb it.

For you however, being so close last time i'm not sure if you will need it all over again.

Does material sound redundant at this point or you still find “new” areas never seen or noticed before?

@Seattle – Some areas I am doing great in, but my weak areas (response to risk, evidence and reports) are still WEAK! I'm trying to adjust my plan to minimize the details on areas I'm strong in to keep me on target. Yeah I know I was so close!! But I also understand how different this is from my 74 in BEC. That one I only rewrote notes and went through all the questions again and I felt more confident going back(and passed). This is different…. Audit is evil 🙁 I think I will consider changing the date before the cost goes up to reschedule, see where I am at in two weeks.

Thanks Seattle! Yes, this should be it. I have a feeling of cautious confidence, lol.

When I got my 74 in Jan 2012, I was clueless. I had no idea what the CPA exam was like or what half of the concepts were that I was memorizing. At least now (with AUD, FAR and REG behind me) I “get it”.

I'm still studying with only 16 hours until I sit… I just don't feel like I have worked enough problems. Averaging 85% so that has to be a good sign 🙂 And of course, the night before I'm doubting my WC philosophy of not practicing them. I only did 3 and I may write some out tonight just for fun 🙂

Either way, tomorrow after the exam, I'll celebrate just for getting through it.

And I pray in AUG I will have another cause for celebration!
