what have you done, or what have you heard others have done to either reward themselves for passing one section or even better, for passing the 4th exam? I am a firm believer that its important to give yourself milestone rewards for achievements and thinking I want to treat myself to a spa day when I have passed all 4 sections. Thought it would be fun to get others ideas…….

I'm just getting started in tackling this beast but I'm planning to reward myself with a european vacation when I finish all 4 sections! Woo hoo! I could REALLY use a vaca.

Until then, some rocky road ice cream to celebrate the milestones. 🙂 A spa-day sounds really wonderful too.

Couple Things that Motivate Me to Get This Thing:

    – using Becker review so I am looking forward to meeting Peter Olinto (becker instructor) in NYC after I pass. In his lectures he promises to meet with you and buy you a cup of coffee or something when you pass.

    – looking forward to putting CPA after my name on resume and linkedin type stuff.

    – that certificate on the wall

    – even if i suck at accounting and end up doing something completely different with my life, the fact that I finished what I started and got that CPA will help me, such as when/if I were to apply for MBA program or law school or looking to move into IT or another field

I like this forum idea. It makes me look forward to something!

I plan to vacation with my husband to Portland to see some of his family and then to Las Vegas as our final stop.

However, what I most look forward to is getting this ten ton gorilla off my back and feeling like I can actually read a book or sit down to watch a movie without feeling guilty about the fact that I should/could be studying!

After I finished my last exam, I treated myself to a nice lunch and a deluxe pedicure (regular pedicure plus lots of extras). The next evening I went out for a celebratory dinner with my husband and daughter.

I've gotten two scores this week but haven't done anything special to celebrate. I was supposed to be helping my sister after surgery this week but that got delayed for a couple of weeks so I've been spending time on our boat with my husband. For the last few days I've vegged and read about 9 or 10 books. However, today I'm studying REG. This is the one exam I had a lot of doubts about after I finished so I dragged my books along with me. I was waiting on my score before I started studying again, but TX is so slow releasing scores that I'm not sure I'll find out until Thursday. July is going to be a very busy month, but the next couple of days are completely clear so I decided to start reviewing to give me a head start if I need it. I love the Nordstrom spa, and when I have passed everything I'm going to treat myself to a massage and facial there.

    FAR 4/1/11 - 89
    AUD 4/15/11 - 85
    REG 4/29/11 - 80
    BEC 5/13/11 - 85
