According to the tentative schedule, yes. I have REG scheduled on the 19th of April as well, for that exact same reason. I drove myself crazy in the Jan/Feb window by taking FAR two days after the Wave 1 cutoff; I had to wait more than a month for my score!

@InterFC1…Some people have said, that it does not depend on when you take the exam, rather when your testing center actually submits your score…Usually they wait few days before submitting scores to the board..I could be wrong, so, waiting on someone to confirm.

The score release schedule does say “When your test is received”. So I scheduled my next test on April 16th to allow 4 days for it to get there.

    F - 85 (10/12)
    A - 72, 71, 75 (4/13) (Ninja 10-Point Combo, didn't need all 10 points!)
    R - 84 (1/13)
    B - 75 (2/13)
    CPAExcel 100%

    Illinois CPA (1/14)

I'm also scheduled to take one April 19 for the same reason. I know someone who took an exam on day 20 for Q1 (which happened to be a Sunday) and got their score in the first wave, so I figure day 19 on a Friday should be ok.

I scheduled mine for April 17 just to give it a time to get there.

    I just saw this

Note: “Day in Testing Window” refers to the date AICPA receives the test result, not the test date. Additionally, some candidates who take the BEC section might receive their scores approximately one week following the target release date due to additional analysis that might be required for the written communication tasks. Scores are generally released during regular business hours.

@k917..which exam was it? I am taking AUD. read below note from official nasba site

    Q. In the score release table there is a column labeled, “Day in Testing Window” and an asterisk with the text, “Records received by AICPA.” What does this mean?

    A. In a vast majority of cases the AICPA will receive scoring data within 24 hours after a CPA candidate sits for the Exam. CPA candidates who wish to improve the certainty of the score release date are encouraged to take the Exam at least one two days prior to the cutoff date.

April 19 is friday, some states might receive score on monday? I am planning to take it on April 18..

@jamesb – It's BEC so I could be stuck in that extra time. Hopefully I score well enough that I get my score the right day! I know for my test center Saturday is a testable day so as long as they submit scores within 24 hours mine should be in by the end of day 20 (my test is at 11:30am eastern).

Although I'm getting nervous now that I won't be in wave 1 and it's basically a must because of a potential promotion at work.

@k917..OH MAN, thats a nervous situation..!!

I was thinking that end of the 19 day is the cutt-off date? but now that you say, its the end of April 20th day. So I should be able to take my exam on April 19 and be in wave # 1?

I will the board tommorow and my testing center and see what they say.

End of day 20 is the cut-off. Per the AICPA schedule, Day 1-20 is Wave 1 so if they get your score by end of Day 20, you should be in Wave 1. Which is why I scheduled the exam for 4/19 because I assume my score would have been submitted by end of the following day.

I would think most test centers, especially those who have a lot of people taking the CPA exam, would be pretty quick at submitting scores. I'm sure that * note is there just to cover the AICPA's ass in case there is a score transmission issue between Prometric and AICPA. That way they can blame it on Prometric for not getting them your score in time.

Call your Prometric center and ask them when they upload to the AICPA. I found out that the center I went to did an upload every night.

I didn't even think of calling and asking!! That's such a good idea!

My Prometric person had no idea when scores are transmitted.

They could be submitted instantaneously. It would make sense since it's a fully electronic exam.
