Hi all,
Just thought to report back to the community about my experience with the test.
I remember seeing a post a few days ago about the SIMs being very difficult and the MCQs were fine. I had the same experience.
My 1st testlet was easy-medium, and I knew I did it well, so the 2nd testlet was super hard, as expected, with a lot of long questions, mostly calculations. I spent a long time on this section and did just OK. The 3rd testlet has less calculation, but tested on some obscure definitions. I think I did the best in the 1st and 3rd testlet. Overall, I’m quite happy with what I did.
Then the simulations… There’s one research Q that’s easy, and the rest is all lengthy calculations, on consolidation, bonds, governmental activities, etc. What killed me was that most of these questions ask for journal entries and doing JE is my weak area. I often understand the concepts of things but have a hard time putting all the transactions in debit and credit with the appropriate account names. So out of the 7 tabs, 3 asked for JEs. I think I eased the rest, but totally BSed through all those journal entries. Also I ran out of time and couldn’t go back to a tab that i totally wasn’t sure on. I allocated 1.5 hour to all SIMs, but that was NOT enough… I think 2 hours should do.
