[I can and I will]

last time I took far was about a year and half ago, got a 68 my first time out of the gates in college, a 65 the second go around (probably didnt re-study enough)
fast forward about 2 years in public accounting and two passes for audit and bec later- i’ve retaken far a whopping month and half after busy season and I got a 74

i can’t believe my eyes and honestly there is no worse anxiety or pain then I have felt than my experiences with this test.

I want to quit my ridiculous no work life balance job and quit studying and return to the normal world because I feel it is not worth it anymore. someone please tell me they have felt this way before and talked themselves off the cliff.

Yes I have been there. I failed REG with a 73 (in 2016) and that lead to my FAR score expiring, and then AUD, then BEC. I burned out hard trying to meet the expectations at work, study at home, and take care of my other responsibilities in life. I ended up quitting my job at the Big 4 firm, and going to industry. Taking time off from studying and then coming back 1.5 years later. I'm in a much better place mentally now to study.

So if you decide to put the studying on hold, that's totally fine. Don't put this exam ahead of your mental health. It's not that important. Take some time off and figure out what your next step needs to be. Best of luck to you.

You are not the only one who is feeling/has felt like this. I've scored two 74s. Just know you have options. You can leave your job for a different one! One with a better balance. You can go back to it or a similar job after passing your 2 exams, if you choose. You got a 74 you are SO close. Don't let yourself slip. I've been there. If you have let go of the accelerator on something, it doesn't have to be the CPA, it can be your job. Just an option. Jobs will come and go, but CPA is forever and it'll be hard to come back to it if you quit now, and you'll always wonder…..

I Have been there brother. I took FAR in 2015 when I was working in public accounting and failed with 68. Then took BEC and failed with 74. I could not keep working in public accounting because I was not meeting the CPA exam expectations. There is a lot of pressure to pass exams if you are in public accounting compared to private. I transferred to private late 2016. I got married in 2017 and then started the journey again in June 2018. I took the 4 exams and passed in the first try from 8/18 to 6/19 and I an done now. My wife played a big part in me passing as she was very supportive. Also, I used becker in 2015 and was not very helpful. Then purchased Roger in 2018 and to be honest, Roger course review was just the perfect fit for me. You need to take some time off and try to think of all the tools that you can use to pass. The CPA exams are about endurance. You need to be mentally and physically prepared.
