I dont think you can do 400 some hours of studying and fail the test. Not possible IMO.

For the BEC score release last window I was up until 2 am on the score release thread constantly refreshing the page. Mind you, I started monitoring the thread very early in the day. The experience was very very bad. I DO NOT intend to do a repeat of that. I honestly cannot express to you how much just sitting around your computer for hours on end refreshing the page sucks.

The scores are supposed to be released on Wednesday I think. I’m gonna volunteer for a bit then go swimming. Later, I’m going to buy a six pack, go home, and watch a movie. My hope is that ill fall asleep and wake up sometime early in the morning thursday. Then, ill check my score.

I'm taking BEC August 14. Do you guys think I'll receive my score August 21, about a week after August 21, or September 9?

2 weeks!!! 14 days!!!! OMG I'm getting sooooooooo excited!!!!!

ETA: I take it back… I have to tell myself not to expect my score when I really expect it, I just don't want to be disappointed if I don't wake up and see a score on Aug. 3.

@Barelystatyingsane – the 14th is day 45 of the window, so you are running the risk of AICPA not receiving your score until the 15th. What sucks with BEC is if the score is borderline and needs to be regraded it can take up to a week to get your score.

So, if I were in your position, I would be hopeful for the 8/21 score release, but if I didn't get my score I would be anxious wondering if it's borderline or just not in that wave. In which case I would be driving myself (and anyone else who would listen) insane.

I suggest either moving it up a day so you know for sure. If that is not an option try contacting AICPA or NASBA (candidatecare@nasba.org) after you take your exam to ask what day they received it.

@MCLKT thanks for the advice! Didn't even realize that it was an option to contact them about when they received my score!

Why does the first part of score releasing take 11 business days to release the scores? the other two take only 6 days. I am sure no one has an answer because NASBA is unclear about the process of score releasing.

@aziiz83 – I was also wondering why the 1st wave takes 11 days! Definitely wish it was like the other 2 releases of only 6 days! Ugh 2 more weeks…

So, what do I do now?

This is the first time in over a year, where my free time hasn't been consumed by studying, or planning when I will need to start studying for my next exam.

What will I do with all this new found free time. 11 days till hopefully I have TONS of free time.

    FAR - 83 (expires January 31, 2014)
    BEC - 73, 80
    AUD - 74, 62, 84
    REG - 72, 73, 74 One more chance.

Does anyone know how the score release works for BEC? I've read a few posts that don't give me quite as much detail as I'm looking for. If you don't get a 75 or better on the MC portion of the exam, is your exam score delayed so as to give time for your writing samples to be graded and added on to the score? Thanks!

    AUD: Attempt 1: 60; Attempt 2: 78
    BEC: Attempt 1: 75 (lost credit); Attempt 2: 80
    FAR: Attempt 1: 74; Attempt 2: 74; Attempt 3: 78
    REG: Attempt 1: 76 (lost credit); Attempt 2: 68; Attempt 3: 80

    Finished 11/01/2013!!!

In Texas, my BEC score was posted the day AFTER the AICPA official release date (and for AUD it was posted the day of the official AICPA date).

I scored a 75 so I imagine the delay was related to grading.

    AUD-April 13-91
    BEC-May 13-75
    FAR-July 13--76
    REG-Aug 13--73-Oct 13--87! Sweet victory!

10 days! could someone explain why this takes so long? it has never been this rough waiting a month for my score. but i guess that's because every other time, i was either studying for my next section or it was busy-season at work. Waiting for possibly your last score is the WORST.

And I don't know what to do with all this free time. August 2nd cannot come soon enough!

    FAR - 1/26/2012 - PASSED (78, but Lost credit), re-do 11/27/2013 - PASSED (87)!
    AUD - EPIC FAIL, 71, 69; 68; 5/25/2013 - PASSED (85)!
    REG - 10/1/2012 - 72; 7/1/2013 - 73 UGH, 10/1/2013 - PASSED (85)!
    BEC - 2/28/2013 - PASSED (82)!
    Licensed CPA!

Used Becker self-study materials (just this for FAR original & REG #1), WileyTestBank, NINJA notes/audio, and Roger cram course for AUD #5, REG #3 & FAR reboot. CPA!

@mrogovitz – The computer grades the MCQs and written portion, but then if the score is real close to the passing mark (I want to say it's 73-78 but not 100% positive on that), then the written part is re-graded by a human. So, you could have a computer-grade of 62 on MCQs and 14 on the written part, for 76 total, and it would be held for a re-grade…but on the other hand, you could have 70 on the MCQs and 10 on the written part, and it wouldn't be held at all, you'd get your 80 according to the scheduled release time. If it's “on the bubble”, there doesn't seem to be a clear consensus on how long the score will be held – usually just a few days from what I've gathered ,but it seems to be a bit random.

Also be aware that scores release at a different time for some states. If you're a NASBA site (you applied to take the exam through NASBA's site), then your scores should release on the “NINJAs say” date here: https://www.another71.com/cpa-exam-scores-results-release?utm_source=another71&utm_medium=text&utm_campaign=blog-nav&utm_content=Scores If you're in a non-NASBA state, then it varies by state…several release on the official NASBA target date (CA and KY are like that), others release much later (like OR), and I think some release on the NINJA date (I want to say that TX is non-NASBA and still releases early, but not sure I'm right). So, if you're not in a NASBA state, let us know what state you're in and hopefully someone will know when your release date is!

5 weeks to wait for my REG score (the worst so far…. ) What the hell was I thinking!!??

This wait is killing me surprisingly worse than the other two…
