I dont think you can do 400 some hours of studying and fail the test. Not possible IMO.

For the BEC score release last window I was up until 2 am on the score release thread constantly refreshing the page. Mind you, I started monitoring the thread very early in the day. The experience was very very bad. I DO NOT intend to do a repeat of that. I honestly cannot express to you how much just sitting around your computer for hours on end refreshing the page sucks.

The scores are supposed to be released on Wednesday I think. I’m gonna volunteer for a bit then go swimming. Later, I’m going to buy a six pack, go home, and watch a movie. My hope is that ill fall asleep and wake up sometime early in the morning thursday. Then, ill check my score.

Jeff, here is the AICPA timeline. Which do you think we should follow? NASBA or AICPA? I am confused!

Personally, I hope the 1st wave isn't released until August 5-6 because I'm taking an exam on August 3 and having to stalk the score release site is going to mess with my studying for that exam and probably even mess with my progress of the exam on the morning of the 3rd.

I've asked the AICPA for some Clarity.

I have my exam scheduled for 7/22, does this schedule mean if I move it up 2 days I'll get my score weeks earlier?

Nevermind, that is pretty clear… I think I'm going to do it. I was looking at another schedule last night and it wasn't as clear so I wasn't sure… I'm just finishing with my first pass through the lectures. My goal was to finish 6/22 and have until 7/22 to rewrite my notes and do questions… I have 2 kids and I don't think the extra day and a half is really going to matter. Now to see if I can reschedule…

    FAR - 7/13 - 72, 11/13- 74, 2/14- 82!!! Best score ever (for me)!!!
BEC - 1/14 - 75!!! Perfect score! First Pass! YAY!!!
    AUD - 8/14 - 80!!!
    REG - 5/14 - 72, 10/14 - 66, 1/15 - 78 - DONE FOREVER!!!
I did 5 of the UNA and CPAExcel classes to earn units.

Steph – if you are going to move your test up for the sole purpose of landing in wave 1, you may want to schedule for the 19th. The AICPA must receive your score by the 20th. There is a chance if you test on the 20th they won't get your score in time and you will be pushed into the second wave. 🙂

Okay, thanks for the info… It is making me nervous, changing my plan. I haven't decided for sure. I think if I don't pass then all hope of passing all 4 by 11/30 is out the window. Do I really want to know that sooner? 🙁

Love your quote, study hard, pass easy!

If i take an exam on July 20th (Day 20 of testing window) will my score get released in the first wave? I'm a little confused if taking a test on a certain dates equals the AICPA receiving the test scores on that same date.

    B - 85 (4/2013)
    A - 97 (5/2013)
    F - 83 (7/2013)
    R - 8/2013

@InspiringCPA, you may not get your score in the first wave. According to NASBA:

“Results Received By” refers to the date the AICPA receives the test result, not the test date. For the vast majority of cases, the AICPA receives the test result within 24 hours after a candidate completes the Exam. Candidates who wish to improve the certainty of a score release date are encouraged to take the Exam at least two days prior to the cut-off receipt date.

Additionally, some candidates who take the BEC section might receive their scores approximately one week following the target release date due to additional analysis that might be required for the written communication tasks. Scores are generally released during regular business hours.

I was scheduled to take BEC on July 20, but I rescheduled it to August 10 because of this note and because I need more study time.

    FAR - 76
    AUD - 88!!! DONE!!!!!!!!
    BEC - 76
    REG - 77

took REG today. Hopefully it was my last test ever. I hate that i have to wait a full month for my score.

    FAR - 1/26/2012 - PASSED (78, but Lost credit), re-do 11/27/2013 - PASSED (87)!
    AUD - EPIC FAIL, 71, 69; 68; 5/25/2013 - PASSED (85)!
    REG - 10/1/2012 - 72; 7/1/2013 - 73 UGH, 10/1/2013 - PASSED (85)!
    BEC - 2/28/2013 - PASSED (82)!
    Licensed CPA!

Used Becker self-study materials (just this for FAR original & REG #1), WileyTestBank, NINJA notes/audio, and Roger cram course for AUD #5, REG #3 & FAR reboot. CPA!

I don't see why we can't have instant scoring. I mean they grade the multiple choice after each testlet, because they need to know what difficulty to give us for the next one.

    BEC: 93 4/18/13
    FAR: 89 7/3/13
    REG: 90 8/30/13
    AUD: 95 11/29/13

    DONE!
