I dont think you can do 400 some hours of studying and fail the test. Not possible IMO.

For the BEC score release last window I was up until 2 am on the score release thread constantly refreshing the page. Mind you, I started monitoring the thread very early in the day. The experience was very very bad. I DO NOT intend to do a repeat of that. I honestly cannot express to you how much just sitting around your computer for hours on end refreshing the page sucks.

The scores are supposed to be released on Wednesday I think. I’m gonna volunteer for a bit then go swimming. Later, I’m going to buy a six pack, go home, and watch a movie. My hope is that ill fall asleep and wake up sometime early in the morning thursday. Then, ill check my score.

“When I grow up I want to work at AICPA or NASBA” said no one ever.

@hawkeyesv thats an excellent point…. I didn't even think about the “this delay won't affect grading” comment until now. What an odd thing for them to mention. Why would they possibly bring up the grading process unless they had a MAJOR snafu. Obviously a “server upgrade” isn't going to have any bearing on our grades. The other possibility is that they are totally incompetent (strong possibility).

I have a feeling the scores aren't going to be released today, or this weekend, time to stop worrying about it and move forward. I've waited a month, whats another week. Good luck everybody! Hit the gym and then drink some beer, you'll feel better.

Monday?? If I am not mistaken, it generally takes the AICPA 5-6 business days to score all exams after the close of the second wave of testing in each window. A little odd that if score are released on Monday, that would have given the AICPA 5-6 days (including weekends) after this so-called “server update” on Wednesday. It appears that they lost the scores and are scrambling to get them graded again.

Or maybe they're saying it's not going to affect the grading because so many people are freaking out and asking them about it so they're trying to comfort us.

    AUD - 85 - 1/4/13
    REG - 83 - 5/20/13
    BEC - 81 - 7/24/2013
    FAR - 77 - 10/15/2013

@Doc_Shades agreed. My plan for tonight involved approximately 20 beers, regardless of my score.

I'm not saying anyone should do this…but what if someone just said they knew something about the scores being compromised, hypothetically. Would the AICPA then be more inclined to respond to put the fire out, or no?

Someone asked about other professional exams. I've taken the bar exam for 2 different states. The wait is longer (about 3 months) but partly because about half is written, not multiple choice. The deadline they give though is the ultimate deadline. None of this “maybe this day, maybe that day” BS we are all going through. I'm waiting for my results on what is hopefully the last of my four parts. Praying for the best but not expecting much. FAR sims were brutal

Currently studying for BEC for next week, but I'm waiting on my REG from July 29. It seems like the AICPA needs to review over the IT section of BEC. I find it ironic that they test us over the Systems Development Life Cycle yet they can't get their own system fixed. It appears like there is a “need for a new system” — I wonder what step they are at on the SDLC.

Or fire their Database Administrator or System Analysis. Better yet, screw this batch processing and move to real-time online processing!

I think I am going to do good on that part of the exam now that I can apply it to a real life experience!

I just spoke to NASBA and they said they have not heard anything from the AICPA yet. They said as soon as they do, they will post info on their Facebook and Twitter. I asked what would happen if they received the scores after business hours and the woman said it would not affect the release. It will be posted automatically in waves that could take up to 12 hours once they receive the scores.

Overall, between the two calls I made, I'm feeling cautiously optimistic.

    REG - (10/5/12) - 72, (2/24/13) - 81
    FAR - (1/12/13) - 76
    BEC - (4/14/13) - 86
    AUD - (5/29/13) - 70, (8/13/13) - 70, (1/4/13) - Please?

@Tax Lawyer – I am also an attorney and said the same thing about our state's bar exam (although we take ours at the end of July, and we knew by the end of August). Certainly, there are far fewer exams to grade so the scope is vastly different, but at least our State Bar didn't jerk us around and refuse to give a straightforward, professional account of what's going on. Poor form, and bad business — alas, they don't care. They wield all the power, and they know we have to just pay our dues and jump through their hoops.

    AUD - 80
    BEC - 85
