I dont think you can do 400 some hours of studying and fail the test. Not possible IMO.

For the BEC score release last window I was up until 2 am on the score release thread constantly refreshing the page. Mind you, I started monitoring the thread very early in the day. The experience was very very bad. I DO NOT intend to do a repeat of that. I honestly cannot express to you how much just sitting around your computer for hours on end refreshing the page sucks.

The scores are supposed to be released on Wednesday I think. I’m gonna volunteer for a bit then go swimming. Later, I’m going to buy a six pack, go home, and watch a movie. My hope is that ill fall asleep and wake up sometime early in the morning thursday. Then, ill check my score.

OK just talked to AICPA the guy was really nice so I'm not mad at him but boy am I mad at the AICPA

They are trying to release it today but most likely it will not happen before Monday.

He said they should give them an written update in the next few hours on what to tell us (he promised he will call me who knows if that will happen today)

I also asked what happen why does it take so long he said he cannot disclose this information – which makes me more believe that all scores were delete/changed.

so on that note this is going to be a very sad weekend and the longest week ever 🙁

@CrazyCPA UGH I would have gone OFF on that lady. Does she realize how many hours (including how MANY weekends in a row) we have spent studying for this test!??? Seriously..and what the hell she is working at AICPA answering phones.

This is crazy! Sounds like they lost the scores!! Okay I am unraveling… I was calm but to think I have to wait til Tuesday I am about to cry. Why can't they just tell us something concrete…..

So if it takes 12 hours to upload, do they have to be there for the full 12 hours? Or is it an automated process? I know the one testing window I woke up at 2 am and my score was there, but wasn't when I went to bed that night, long after they closed (but they started releasing scores earlier that day).

I'm hoping AICPA wasn't lying when they told me they would be released today and i'm hoping early enough so that NASBA can do the upload.

I've been on edge since Wednesday and should be in depth studying for BEC for Monday, but this is driving me crazy. There is no way I can wait until Monday.

If you feel you did well on an exam and got completely blindsided by your score this window, this may be one of those times to get your scores reviewed.

I especially like how the release from AICPA/NASBA said the poorly timed server upgrade would not affect grading. Starting to think its more likely something got screwed up.

This is insane! I am not waiting for a score til early Sept… but I just don't understand how this can even be a situation. 3 weeks to release a score is just stupid and ridiculous. There needs to be a better method for this madness. It's 2013… not 1985 where computers are a new thing.

I am going to politely bow out of constantly checking for updates. I have lost sight of the fact that I feel pretty strongly I didn't pass BEC and am just hoping for a pleasant surprise (The tough part is that I've felt that way after every exam.) as well as the fact that I'm behind on studying for FAR.

I also realized that with all the frustration we're experiencing and able to so quickly and easily share, it's doing nothing but raising my anxiety and frustration level. I'll check once a day and begin to move on to other duties I have been neglecting. If the scores are released Monday that means I'll only check 3 more times instead of 3 million and I'll get lots more work done in the meantime. After all, this draft MD&A that's sitting in front of me isn't going to write itself.

Good luck to everyone waiting for scores. I feel your pain.

@Cupcake985 I literally didn't know how to react to that question. You would think they would feel our eager and anger, butt I guess it's not a big deal for them at all. I told her my mental health would be destroyed if I had to wait for a weekend. Can we sue AICPA for this? Any dual degree here, law and accounting, can help?

I just spoke to the AICPA as well. The guy first told me that the scores were released to NASBA. After questioning him a little, he placed me on hold and came back and said that the scores were actually not released yet. He said they will be released today and he is going to call me back when that happens. He also said that the scores were not compromised in any way. When I asked about the “server upgrade,” he said they are looking into exactly what was causing the delay.

I worked in a call center for five years. When we had a problem that we didn't want customers to know about, we told them we are not sure what caused the problem and we were currently looking into it. In other words, the AICPA is feeding us a bunch of BS.
