I dont think you can do 400 some hours of studying and fail the test. Not possible IMO.

For the BEC score release last window I was up until 2 am on the score release thread constantly refreshing the page. Mind you, I started monitoring the thread very early in the day. The experience was very very bad. I DO NOT intend to do a repeat of that. I honestly cannot express to you how much just sitting around your computer for hours on end refreshing the page sucks.

The scores are supposed to be released on Wednesday I think. I’m gonna volunteer for a bit then go swimming. Later, I’m going to buy a six pack, go home, and watch a movie. My hope is that ill fall asleep and wake up sometime early in the morning thursday. Then, ill check my score.

– lost a bid on a great house yesterday. We had been looking for six months and this was the first offer we ended up making.

– expected my bonus to be 2K, well, after paltry June billings (not my fault, it's all timing of whoever is billing the client) I got fifty freaking bucks this morning!!!!!!!

– waiting on my last score – FAR – I passed the other three first time around, but if I fail, I am losing credit for BEC!!! I have two under two at home so studying time is limite and my husband so wants me to be done!!!!

Nice thriller, huh?

I realize people are upset, but they did say the 23rd when they said it was delayed. They didn't specify a time and just because the pattern is that they come out a day early, doesn't mean that's always going to happen. We all need to take a deep breath and let this play out. Now if they don't come out at any point today, then we have right to go on a rant.

I just received this response from a NASBA NCD (National Candidate Database) coordinator:

“Due to the ongoing AICPA server upgrade, I would advise you to expect your scores on Monday.”

However, this same person told me incorrect information last score release date as well….Just we could get some accurate information. Do these people not understand that our lives cannot go on until we have our scores? My weekend is going to be miserable if these scores don't start rolling out soon.

UPDATE FROM NASBA:

After calling my state board of accountancy (PA) and learning that they don't even know we've taken the exam until we've passed all 4 parts, I called NASBA. The lady I spoke to said they are still waiting for the AICPA to release the scores to them and as soon as they receive them, they will release them out to us. She said that normal score releases start around 1-2 PM CST (2-3 PM EST), but she hopes that it'll start a little earlier today since they're already delayed.

She said that she's received 100 calls this morning since 7 AM (good!!). I asked her point blankly why the AICPA couldn't take care of the server upgrade on a black out month and she said that she has a feeling it was due to a hack! I also asked her if there is any rhyme or reason to the order they're released in (alphabetical order, etc) and she said no, that the sections are released randomly.

Finally she said that she fully expects them to release today and when I asked her about Twitter, she said that NASBA should post when they're starting to release. I asked if all the scores would be distributed today (Friday) or if they'd leak into the weekend (Saturday), and she said that unfortunately, it takes a while to release all of the scores (her words were more than 1 business day), so it's likely that not all of them will be released today for NASBA states and some would be released tomorrow.

UPDATE FROM AICPA:

I also spoke to AICPA and they confirmed the “server upgrade” 1 day delay and said that all tests taken by 8/14 would be released to NASBA today.

They had to upgrade their servers right around a score release date?? It would be comical if it wasn't so hard on everyone waiting.

When I was waiting for my last score, FAR, every other state got their scores a day before California. Looking for information about score release was how I found A71. It was all I could think about. I checked over and over and over and over….. But when it finally came it was totally unexpected good news!

THANK YOU @Goldfish2012. I tend to agree with NASBA and their feeling that this is related to something other than a server upgrade (ie: hacking incident). How would they have known on Wednesday that their server upgrade process would spill into today?

I am also upset because in addition to my exam fees, I just paid my AICPA membership dues last week. Don't I wish I could take that payment back right about now.
