@cpaguy – I can respect and understand where you are coming from and I am sure iwantmylifeback does to. I have been there and understand it is overwhelming. When I first started I didn't know what to do, but when I call a staff stupid it isn't becuase they don't know what to do it is becuase they (1) don't care (2) don't ask or communicate when they have an issue that is what is stupid to me.
I can only speak of the staff in my local office, but I find that more often then not since they just got a CPA license they feel like they can perform an audit and don't seem to ask and I am left picking up the binder and seeing all these deficiencies, which leads me to write more points and come across as a major dick. I wish my staff came with the attitude that they need to be trained, but more often then not my staff want to show that they are the best and brightest and won't ask for help because they feel it would reflect negatively on them. That is my issue and that is what I call stupid.
As far as my score on AUD being a 93 it was simply utter shock and I was amazed, just because I was forced to take it without studying. I mean to be honest with you I thought I had failed just because I finished so early and browsing through the blogs it made it seem like I had missed something. I'm not trolling or trying to put someone down, hell, I'm a manager without a CPA license who is being forced by their employer to take the CPA exam … most poeple are probably ahead of me in getting this done… it was more of just shock that I wanted to share and the fact that I think people stress way too much about the exam.
If I came across too negative it is probably becuase I try not to take out my issues on my staff and just to lash out in cyberspace.
Anyways this is not billable work! Best of luck!
