Everybody kept telling me not to worry about BEC, that it was the easiest of the 4. But everyone I talked to took it back before 2011. I just took the test on Friday and I thought it was pretty damn tough. It asked 6-7 questions I never heard of in the Becker materials. So is BEC really still one of the “easier” exams? I thought Auditing was a breeze. I walked out of FAR thinking I just bombed it. For BEC, I am somewhere in the middle. I have no idea how I did. Somebody cheer me up please!

I think there is a general feeling that they are all harder in 2011 than they were last year.

Yeah that's what I'm hearing. I wonder if people still think it's comparatively easier to the other exams…

i am taking BEC in the coming month and like ExhaustedCPA said, i would expect to see a few questions not touched on by the review courses…. when i think about the fact that BEC involves topics from so many areas it seems impossible that the review courses can cover everything as with lets say AUD. good luck

I took it in 2010 and failed. I took it May 31 this year and passed. When I left I definitely felt like I failed and that Becker didn't prepare me well enough because there were questions that I had not covered at all. Hopefully you will be in the same boat as me and pass! Good luck! I honestly think the writing on BEC makes it easier since you only have to stay on topic and have proper writing skills. From what I understand you could answer a question completely wrong, but still get full credit.

My BEC exam was brutal. I went straight to the bar afterward—I'd even go as far as say it was tougher than REG if we are just talking about multiple choice. That being said I passed—so cheer up! The WC are a nice boost, and they werent available in 2010.
