    Since I have been studying in a more “full time” capacity, I have this insane habit of chewing gum. I am not talking your run-of-the-mill type of chew. I mean a possessed, chew the whole pack of gum kind of chew. I am hooked on that new Trident Vitality gum (really because they are like “chiclet” gum–reminiscent of much younger days). The bad thing is that I really do mean possessed–because when I am done my jaw is so sore!

    I chew the gum, in a way that somehow subconsciously, I must be thinking that if I chew really hard the answer will magically come into my head, or that the mnemonic will finally stick, or that the third week of September will come faster !!

    Weird stuff. Last thought: What the full moon does to the werewolf, is like what the CPA exam does to accountants-in-waiting !

    ok, back to mcq’s. 🙂

    I will be at my kitchen table on my laptop working on practice MCQs (or going over the MCQs I screwed up) and I will start talking through the answers and the reasoning behind the correct answers. It's almost like I'm giving an accounting lecture to an invisible audience…it drives my wife crazy but I think it helps me to talk it out and hear the rationale behind the correct answer, even if it is only my own voice…

    @duker,

    I talk to myself too. It does seem to help, but I do feel a bit like a crazy person.

    Study odd-habits: insane amounts of green tea.. to the point of which I must brew a huge batch before bed and just drink during the day on ice. We are talking nearly a dozen cups per day.. @duker8012 & @T-rex I've developed a similar habit of explaining answers to nobody as if I were teaching it. Worrying less and less about being “crazy” and more about knowing the stuff! It takes what it takes, right? *twitch*

    Non-study odd-habits: the need to attempt reading “Twilight” by Meyers in Korean. Actually beginning to enjoy it. Also finding myself having odd recurring dreams about being a superhero fighting an enemy that won't budge. Symbolism what? 🙂
