Is a 74 worth a review?

First time poster here… Just saw my AUD score, and I’m pretty sick to my stomach right now. I would have rather failed worse than with a 74. Is it worth a review, or am I just throwing money away? I’m really discouraged right now, especially since I thought I passed this one (I definitely failed FAR if I failed this one…).

Should I have it reviewed or just move on?

Throwing money away. There is almost no chance it is going to be overturned. If it was BEC (human component) and your very last test I would say maybe go for it. You'll be better off spending the money on the re-registration and exam and knocking it out next month. You are so close, so try to take it soon while it is fresh in your mind. Good luck!

Thanks for the advice. I'm studying for REG right now, so I feel like I'm wiping my mind clean of AUD. *sigh* I'll study for it again after REG and BEC. =(

Zero chance. It's all computerized grading so there really isn't much to look at. And remember, 74 is a score and not a percentage. The AICPA charges an exam fee to look at it so you might as well just take it again.

    Aud 4/2/11 - 86
    Far 5/27/11 - 83
    Bec 7/1/11 - 82
    Reg 8/13/11 - 86! It's over!!!!

I would just add that in reading about score information from NASBA's web page it said that no score has ever been changed as a result of a review.

    FAR - 83
    AUD - 81
REG - 76 (That was close!)
    BEC - 82

drovell – good luck next time. Don't loose faith!

I received a 74 on AUD the first time I took it as well. My accounting professor adviced me not to challenge the score because it will be waist of money and time.

    AUD: 75 Expired 12/11 - Retesting in 2/13
    BEC: 79 Expired 12/11
    FAR: 70, 10/24/11

I posted a 74 as well. It was my last one and I had all my application ready to send in. I was convinced I had done better on Aud, than my other three tests. Did you already receive your diagnostic in the mail?

I don't think it's a good idea. When I was taking the Becker live review, the instructor said if you ask for a review it would be like throwing money away. He said that everyone who reviewed their exams last year did not get the score overturned.

I'm not sure how true it is though, but don't give up hope! Good luck!!!

    FAR - 07/08/11 - 86 (Becker Fast Pass)
    REG - 07/27/11 - 91 (Becker Fast Pass & Ninja Notes)
    AUD - 08/13/11 - 93 (Becker Fast Pass)
    BEC - 08/31/11 - 90 (Becker Fast Pass)

@bennyhaha I have a diagnostic available online at the Texas website. It said I was weaker than other candidates in simulations. I finished the test with 2 hours and 10 minutes to spare. Clearly, I probably missed some crucial MC that I shouldn't have missed, and I should have used an additional hour or so on the simulations using the authoritative literature. That's my bad…
